We've been traveling around Ireland, England, and Scotland for the last 2 weeks, and hands down, La Truffe Noire has been my favorite meal. It's Michelin Star quality food in an unpretentious, warm, welcoming place! The food was not only insanely delicious, but beautifully presented as well. I had the guinea fowl as a starter, and the red deer saddle as an entree, and I can honestly say I have not had a more perfectly cooked cut of meat in years. The owner was lovely, charming, warm and welcoming, and our server was kind, attentive, funny, and seemed genuinely pleased to be there. The prices were fantastically reasonable as well, and it was a stone's throw from where we are staying. I can not say enough good things about this place and those who work there, the best I can say is GO enjoy it for yourself! You will NOT be disappointed! Thank you for a most excellent meal and a warm welcome to Arran, lads!

We had the most beautiful meal here on Christmas day, the tasting menu and the head chef came out to introduce each dish which was such a lovely touch. All of the staff were so friendly and attentive - this place is a must visit when in Arran. We loved each dish so much we came back to visit the next day and I had the Cullen Skink which was the best I've ever tasted! The bar area has such a lovely atmosphere and all the staff are so friendly and hospitable - the day menu in there was delicious and enjoyed by all the family. We can't wait to come back next time we're in Arran!

This is a gem of a family-run restaurant where the only thing that surpasses the food is the service. Graham went out of his way to make us welcome and his knowledge of wine pairing introduced us to new choices that we would never have considered. The meal was both memorable and inventive. Local produce with modern flair. Very welcoming and great conversation. The connected bar has equally welcoming staff, Laura and the bar man were wonderful. It’s lively and the locals make it. You need to get out and support this local business, it really is the best of Arran under one roof!

Tasty, creative and beautifully presented food, served by a friendly waiter who knew about the food - in a relaxed, unpretentious setting. All the dishes were very good, as you’d expect given the prices. Some were really special, completely original. The stand out for me was the Pimms jelly and cucumber sorbet.

The restaurant is superb with friendly staff, food and drink was excellent. We choose the tasting menu was not sure about some of the components of the meal - it was a bit different. Owner was excellent was able to recommend wine to complement the meal. It is not cheap - and would say the dishes are very small but well presented. Chef came out and explained each course - a nice touch.

Had no idea the Fallen Goat bar was attached to La Truffe Noire but found it and got a meal after 5pm on an October Sunday after finding every other pub was closed or undergoing refurbishment. Great food, a nice atmosphere and traditional pub vibe. A lifesaver after a big walk!

Very pleasant surprise!Very high quality ingredients, prepared with "Savoir faire" and astonishing combinations which worked like a charm with the proposed wines.

As an indulgent treat for my wife's birthday we chose LTN in anticipation of a fine dining experience. We chose the a la carte menu and with the owner's recommendation were able to pair fine European wines by the glass with each course. The quality of local ingredients and the technical expertise of the head chef were of the highest standard. Presentation and blend of flavours and textures with each course merited a Michelin star. The quality of the meal and wine represented very good value for money.

We had a gorgeous meal here. It was fine dining in a casual atmosphere which suited us perfectly. The staff were friendly, the wine tasty and the cocktails were well mixed.
