A cosy place for a drink, with a roaring fire. Unfortunately there is no restaurant at the moment. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Food service is not there and permanently closed. Bar is in operation but very limited options. Bar guy was good and friendly and you can even get some good recommendations while enjoying your drink.

Would love for the parent company to put a little money and love into this place to make it a great place. Little things like fix the bridge, put more hangers in the cabins, clean up the tennis courts etc

This resort is seriously neglected and needs closing down. The lodge we stayed in was dirty, dank, smelly and in desperate need of a complete overhaul. The resort map on the website boasts a bar and restaurant. This is not the case - the restaurant does not exist. This became apparent as we drove onto the site and black sticking tape had been placed over the ‘restaurant’ wording on the sign. After receiving an electric shock (the final straw) from the faulty electrics in the main bedroom I demanded to be moved from the Lochanhully Resort to the Spey Valley Resort in Aviemore. Thankfully the Spey Valley Resort was a much better maintained site and we were able to enjoy the remainder of our holiday.

Amazing quiet place. Not a lot of choice at the moment but I understand more will come. We sat and had a quiet tea, coffee and beer watching the loch and ducks. Very friendly and helpful staff.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly, free table tennis!

Wow! What can I say. We are just home from an amazing 5 days here! The cabins were amazing. Ours was definitely our favourite position etc. the ducks wakening us up each morning was the highlight - who knew ducks can be so entertaining. We felt like the pied piper for ducks. The cabins have everything you need for a self catering establishment. We only left the resort through the day twice. Other days we took advantage of the pool, table tennis, tennis, basketball and games room. My two children loved what Lochanhully had to offer, so much so we have booked to return in April. We can’t wait. It was just what we needed. Peaceful and relaxed. The staff, what can I say. So friendly and helpful. My husband and I were a big dubious about coming, but we needn’t have been. It exceeded our expectations. The bar, contrary to other reviews is well stocked, yes no draft beer, however plenty of selection of beer wine and soft drinks and a vast selection of spirits. Don’t hesitate. Get booked. You won’t regret it. Thank you all so much. You made our 2023 holiday super special! Thanks so much!

I read some awful reviews on TripAdvisor before our stay and was pleasantly surprised with our accommodation. I'm going to start with the positives. It's a beautiful and peaceful location and we will probably stay here again. The accommodation was well equipped for self-catering. The staff we met were helpful and cheerful. The kids enjoyed the swimming pool. The ducks were amazing and kept us entertained. The laundrette was very reasonably priced. We didn't use the gym or the games room so can't comment on them. Now for the negatives. As other reviews have stated the lodges are very dated and the decor is tired and in need of some upgrading. The lodge we stayed in had a few cobwebs in the hard to reach areas but was otherwise clean. The lodge felt very dark this was a combination of wood panelling on the walls and ceiling, lack of natural light due to the trees ( expected as we were in a woodland setting) and a build up of tree debris on the sunroom/conservatory roof. It is disappointing that the accommodation has been neglected in this way as it distracted from what was otherwise a lovely place to stay. Hopefully the owners will take note of these reviews and invest some time and money in the lodges. It would also better reflect the style and location to market it as a woodland retreat rather than a resort.

1. Tired and dated . 2. Toenails in trundle bed. 3.Unwashed cup in cupboard . 4 . Previous guest underwear & socks at end of bed. 5 . Pillows lumpy . 6 . Crumbs under furniture & sofa bed .7. Door handles unclean. 8. Musty smell throughout even after second visit from cleaners .9. Poorly stocked bar ( no draught beer . In general the resort looked tired and dated , could do with refurbishment. Plus points , staff were very friendly and helpful , location was great I'm afraid to say as Arnie might say " I won't be back ".

Stayed for 3 nights in July - 2 adults and 1 child (9 yo) in a classic 2 bedroom lodge. Very friendly and helpful at the reception/club area. Lodges are a good size and comfortable but as others have said are a little tired in appearance. Even changing the light fittings and pictures would massively modernise them. A few cobwebs in places and bathroom could have been a little cleaner. The site is in a lovely peaceful location. 20 minute stroll into Carrbridge that has a couple of hotels that serve dinner. The swimming pool and complimentary towels was ideal but heavily chlorinated. Overall we were comfortable enough - Lochanhully is perfectly placed for Landmark park and all of the activities available nearby at Aviemore.

My grandparents bought a timeshare here 35+ years ago, I went as a kid (loved it) , and my 2 oldest went as kids (loved it) now, this year, my youngest did too. Priceless memories have been made yet again. The staff were amazing, so friendly. Kathy, Gina, and Lauren were brilliant with our son, always making time for him when he would pop in. Our days won't be the same without our visits from Penelope, the resident peahen, and the ducks/ducklings. Our walks round the Lochan, with the ducks chasing after Thomas, the afternoon swims with a pool to ourselves, and our mushroom hunts. We don't drive, so we were limited to the resort, we weren't disappointed. It was a good amount to fit into the day. Yes, the cabins could be updated a bit more, and I think the bar area would benefit from doing some family entertainment at night. All in all, though, we had a fantastic time.

The pictures and description of the resort are very misleading it is a lot more dated than the pictures portray. The whole place could do with a wee bit of work and a tidy up and the facilities are basic BUT saying that the location is just gorgeous. There are some lovely walks around the lake in the middle of the resort. There is a swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gym to use. All towels are provided for these facilities. There is a launderette, games room, bar , tennis court and basketball court which we never used. The lodges themselves were lovely. Full of all equipment needed and quaintly decorated. The beds were super comfortable. The whole lodge was a great size. The only down side is you are constantly reminded that there is a £75 cleaning charge if you use too much electricity, don't put things in right bin, if the cabin isn't left immaculate. It did make us feel kind of edge and spent a lot of time cleaning up probably more than necessary in case we got this charge enforced especially after already spending a fortune to stay here. It is really missing a small shop etc for basic supplies such as milk or bread etc. Although carbridge is a short drive away. I would stay here again but more for the location than the facilities.

This resort is ludicrously overpriced…£400 + for 2 nights. The cabins are tired , covered in cobwebs, very dirty and the whole setup resembles a labour camp rather than a holiday resort .I can’t imagine how they think these prices are reasonable .

Just checked out today and sorry to say we wouldn’t come back , the place has so much potential but it’s so run down- first off all we were placed in the most highest lodge possible (steep hill ) uneven pathway - we booked through booking direct so they can see ages of people booking and when checking in , porch area all broken and uneven , conservatory door broken and porch area rotten and broken , mold in bathroom furniture so old my great grandma had the same chairs , security light didn’t work so pathway to cabin in darkness as we had no other neighbours at the time we stayed . Honestly we spent over £690 for 3 nights and wasn’t worth it - if you just need a bed then that’s fine but if you have a family definitely not worth the money and might be more pricey but better options available

2 adults, 2 kids on a 3 night break. Cabin 3 straight opposite the reception. Cabin was clean, very well equipped, pots, cutlery, crockery nearly everything thought of bar washing up liquid and an oven tray. Recommended you bring one or a roll of foil as to not spoil the grill plate in the oven. Shower was the only thing that could be improved in the cabin, zero pressure, just kind of drips out, tricky to regulate the tempature. The resort as whole is a bit tired and could do with an upgrade, tennis court and basketball for the kids, again courts could do with an update, small art room available with key at reception, we didn't use it. Games room had a pool table at a pound a game. Feel this should be free to play, don't understand why it's a pound. Small selection of dvds and books to borrow also there. The bar area is large, plenty of seating areas but no food on offer at this moment in time. bar is open until 9pm, had the bar been open later and had draught beer we would have happily spent more time and money in this part after being out all day. The swimming pool was good for the kids, no more than 20 at a time in the pool, first and last hour was for adults only. The kids loved the ducks, so many of them, they went round all the cabins in the morning looking to be fed. The cabins are spaced well apart so it does feel private, the staff were all pleasant and helpful. There is a path near the bins at the tennis court that takes you into the village without having to walk in the main road. In the village there is a spar, a tad pricy for staples, bread milk etc. Maybe the resort could benefit from having a small store in site with staples I'm sure it would do well, we certainly would have found it useful. There is so many things that could make this place better but we enjoyed our stay regardless, the kids had fun and it was a good base to explore the area. If we were staying up this way again we would return. Loch morlich is stunning, large beach area, we went out on the kayaks despite the weather not being the best. Landmark was also good, pricy but worth it.
