Good food at a reasonable price. Not easy finding an actual pub lunch these days with all the chain places that change hands all the time but this is definitely worth visiting instead of the ubiquitous Brewer' Fayre types of place. Pretty much a must book though as it only serves between noon and 2.30pm.

First off the amount of open and blatantdiscrimination is astounding in the day and age,who has the right to dictate who is disabled or notbased on whether they are in a wheelchair or not,although various forms of official proof were offeredstill to no avail. We weren't wanting specialtreatment, just access to a kids menu or smallerportion, same as provided to another visiblydisabled customer. Second threatening to kick usout if we swapped plates of food within our partybecause the older member of the group "qualified"for a smaller portion. Simple maths would dictatethat the business would not be financially worse offif we ordered food and swapped between ourselves• The servers sarcastic comment "oh she did well"was not only inappropriate and ill-suited, but showsa lack of understanding of disabilities. Managementneeds to take a good hard look at their *rules" andtraining, eating in a restaurant is not a dictatorship

We went in for a bar lunch last week, as we hadn't been in for years.The food was excellent, proper decent pub grub done well.The staff were brilliant too.We need to start supporting these great local businesses, rather than running away to the big chains in the neighbouring towns.Hats off to all involved, we'll definitely be regulars.
