My wife had a meal during the week it was really enjoyable so we decided to have breakfast a few days later, The service was really good unfortunately the cooked breakfast was terrible, greasy and not a lot of taste the coffee was also very weak and not enjoyable, On a plus side the toast and pancakes were good, But the chances of us local customers returning are slim.

Nice venue, but a problem with the heating system meant that it was quite cool in the restaurant. Service was quite slow and the waitress, when she came, was.more intent on taking drinks orders than food. As a party of six we were placed on a table in a separate area in what was described as an alcove.

Myself and 9 family members went for Christmas Eve dinner and will never return. Was pre booked and our table wasn’t even ready on arrival, bar staff didn’t know how to pour drinks or even know where anything was then didn’t know how to open till to give change, place was empty so it should never have took 15 minutes to get 4 drinks. When the food came out, server almost spilt it over table and didn’t even know what was on the plates. Some got steaks which were not how they asked for cooked and were cold , chips were old and cold, gammon was not nice and also cold and 3 turkey dinners that were ordered were terrible, extremely dry, weren’t hot and didn’t taste nice at all. All plates had so much food left on them and not once did anyone ask if everything was ok. We did not order dessert as we had waited 30 minutes on someone coming to take our order. We do not recommend this place at all.

Horrible 'chicken and ham pie' with what was meant to be 'mash ? potato'. The only decent part of the dinner was the plate. The meal was disgusting.

Used to go here pre covid and was ok. Went for first time in ages the other day and the food was much better really good quality and very tasty. Only reason not giving 5 stars is dessert was frozen solid but they rectified straight away. Will defo go back v.

We have been coming here for about 4years on regular visits to see my step son. We stay here primarily for the excellent food and service we always get at Esk Valley. I would definitely recommend this venue for breakfast and dinner as both have excellent choices.Parking: Excellent amount of parking spaces to cover Premier Inn guests and visitors to the restaurant

A good place to have a meal. Food is good and not too expensive. They have a deal on 12 till 6pm 2 meals for under £12 .and services is good.

First time we had been in for a while, the woman serving us was really friendly and polite. The food was piping hot (was always just warm). The only issue was a fire alarm constantly bleeping.

Staff made it feel like they had forgotten about our table. Booked in and an hour later still no food.

Friendly , welcoming staff . Excellent choice of breakfasts , poached eggs cooked perfectly. Well worth a visit if you're in the area or coming up this way . Lovely building

What an absolute shambles of a restaurant. We ate here 3 times for breakfast and once for dinner while staying at the adjoining Premier Inn. The dinner was possibly the worst experience of the lot. The staff don't appear top speak to each other and the management seems to have just checked out. Many items were out of stock just an hour after opening, Smoke alarms beeping every 30 seconds, when the food did turn up it was missing items with no apology or explication (Or even noticing till I flagged it). The food quality was OK but deep fried "roast" potatoes were an interesting choice. There's better options to be had nearby so recommend saving your sanity and trying somewhere else.Parking: Large, free parking lotKid-friendliness: A chain pub so welcoming to kids at all timesWheelchair accessibility: Step free access to all areas of the resteraunt

Went in on the off-chance of getting a table, we did get the table, very friendly staff, although one (probably new) slammed plates on the table when delivering, also slammed down the drinks we ordered, hence why the mark has been taken off. Starters arrived pretty quickly, with a bit of a wait for main courses, the restaurant & bar were closing at 9pm, don’t know the reason, but that’s what it was. The meal was very tasty & enjoyable.
