Normally top notch food. But tonight 06.09.23 the fish supper tasted like like it had been sitting around for too long. Fish was very small inside a lot of batter. It looked big but not much fish. I won't remove a star for this great takeaway but it was not up to their normal excellence.Hopefully just a one off.

First time getting delivery from here very disappointed ☹️ the batter on the fish was like rubber and very oily, chips were not nice don't think I will get from here again .

Placed a order on the app at 10pm and they didn't deliver it and the shops been closed going on a hour now with no way to contact them ordered hundreds of times before without issue

Order sent early, returned because my husband is diabetic. I had chosen the time which the delivery guy confirmed. Got a very unpleasant call from the shop telling me about wasting food, that I should have filled in the chefs instructions. I said why have a drop down time choice if it doesnt work. Was told if he knew about apps he wouldnt be working in a chip shop. Well heads up if you talk to all your customers that way you wont be working in a chippie because it will be shut! Will never order from here again

My name is Robert here is my review of phoenix grill house here goes i am not a massive chippy guy but this place does a massive selection of different foods from macaroni cheese to smoked sausages even a smoked sausage pizza they also do a massive selection of deserts so if you love deserts you will like this place they also do very nice chips and cheese i think this is the best chippy place in north ayrshire so i will give it five stars i hope you found this review helpful.Vegetarian options: They will do vegetarian foods most places do.Kid-friendliness: I think they do kids meals well they do ice creams for kids.
Just had an amazing small donner lamb kebab with tub of kebab sauce and side salad you pay extra on top of the £6.50 you pay for the kebab. That’s extortionate you may think and it is for a small kebab. But that is deceiving to be honest because it’s more like between a medium to large size and 2 people could easily share of it. I mean if you just wanted a small kebab and it was just a small one you wanted and no one else to share it with then it’s too much and it ends up straight in the bin . No one likes food waste. So you would go elsewhere for a kebab if you just wanted a smaller potion for yourself and would probably be £1.50 cheaper as you would not need to pay extra for salad and sauce as you normally get that free with a donner kebab, But saying that I think I just had the most amazing kebab ever plenty of lamb so nice and tender plenty of salad containing plenty of tomato lettuce and pitta bread was lovely soft and fresh and the sauce was just spot on . Just the portion sizes are all wrong . You should have small medium or large size and pay just for what you need.Otherwise, it’s a good clean enough food serving establishment, although you can wait a wee while 10-15 minutes on your order being prepared. Now from experience I give the place an ok it can be a hit or a miss . The fish suppers are great especially the special fish or ordinary fish suppers are good normally haddock or whiting , special fish done in golden breadcrumbs. Black Pudding is great so is the haggis which is split in to 2 long pieces in a light crunchy batter . Serves lovely ice cream try the raspberry ice cream shakes. It’s not cheap but it’s not that expensive either . Drivers are friendly and courteous enough. So my overall rating is 3/5 stars . It’s local to me so I haven’t just been the once . Using their app can be expensive better just to phone them because once I have used their app and ended up with a duplicated order and ended up using the other order being reheated in the microwave the next night. So be careful with the app.This is my full and honest experience with using this takeaway.

Pist off they sent me my £30 reheated order off food grey hairs in macaroni then black hair in my chips and cheese ..they resent me chips and cheese my partners pregnant so she was put off her meal and went elsewhere but my 2nd portion of chips and cheese had more black hair in it had to put it in the bin absolutely a disgrace from phoenix grill considering I order more than 4 times a week from yous well done to keeping the regulars happy ...feel free to have a game off find their hairs on my 1st then 2nd portion of chips

I got a delivery of a special fish supper on thursday 11 August which was disgusting. The fish had a very strong Ammonia smell and taste from it. I had to through the full supper in the bin. I could not stomach the chips after the rotten fish. I am usually a very good customer but kinda been put off now.
