Food was ok but this was really let down by the overall experience and service. The self ordering kiosk was switched off/broken. On all the tables was a little standee telling us we could order online but there's no table numbers!Upon queueing to order the difficult way I noticed most of the shelves and fridges were pretty empty and very limited selection, surprising when it's in a supermarket you'd think the place would be well stocked. When we went to collect our drinks all except one of the hot drinks machines were broken - it took a further 5 minutes to collect our hot drinks as we had to queue for that also. The food took a biblical 25 minutes to materialise, our orders came 10 minutes apart which made things awkward as one of us didn't want their breakfast to go cold or to waste. When the food did arrive it was fairly average but at least hot.During our long wait I did notice there were a lot of brown water damaged ceiling tiles and several missing too, also there was no heating and the cafe was freezing. Overall the atmosphere was grim, cold and clinical. It's a massive shame Morrisons have let this nice opportunity go to waste, the location is good and the place could be much cheerier to invite more customers in and do business with you.

You'll normally have quite a wait to order and for your food. I think it's expensive for the quality of the food. Undercooked sausage, watery scrambled egg, cold hash browns. On my most recent visit they also had no hot drinks which wasn't great considering it's always freezing in the cafe.

Absolutely horrific, maybe 10 customers in cafe, 30 minutes from ordering food to arriving. The cup for my tea was hotter than any of the food was. Toasties just oozed out grease absolutely vile ?

Understaffed and staff are overworked. My mum's food came out and it was cold (mine was fine) but I think it was a result of the two staff trying to serve 20+ customers, plus clean, cook and do dishes. It took 20 minutes just to get served then a further 20 to get the food. This is most likely the result of head office not allocating enough staff hours to the restaurant and expecting the two girls to do the work of 5 people.

My girlfriend and I came here and self-ordered everything fine. Machine told us to help ourselves to our hot chocolates but the machine itself was just pumping out hot milk. I carried the cups to the manned checkout with the intention of just letting the staff know that the machine probably needed some attention before we could get our drinks. However, I stood at that counter for almost 10 minutes, which is a long time when you're literally just stood waiting. I could hear staff in the back kitchen talking away with absolutely no presence in the actual cafe. Anyone could have walked up and stolen off the counter without them knowing, or perhaps elderly who don't know how to use the self-order process and want to speak to an actual human on a checkout, they would have been left there with no service like I was. In the end, a woman poked her head out a door the other side of the self-order machine, nowhere near the manned checkout, and I walked over and told her about my hot chocolates only for her to get the help of a colleague in telling me that it "wasn't working" and we should "try for a coffee instead". Later my girlfriend went up and just asked if we could get two soft drinks instead, but to be honest we could have easily just gone up and taken them regardless due to the lack of presence and customer service in the cafe. Food was okay, but very disinterested staff.

Food served and sold here is generally quite good for the money. That said, I've ordered a few times now using the take away service both ordered online and in store. On every occasion there have been items of food missing. On the second occasion I contacted morrisons using the online reporting tool. I basically received an email frommorrisons head office stating that it was nothing to do with them and to contact the cafe. All but too late as the food is taken home before any issues can be found. So my advice, as unorthodox as it sounds, is when the take away food order is received, is to pick it apart and make sure you've received what you have paid for.

Nice clean cafe within the supermarket. A good range of hot ad cold food. Pleasant friendly staff. Wheelchair accessible and disabled parking. Disabled toilets. All measures are in place to reduce the possibility of spreading Corona virus.

1 sign at very front to say no chef for half hour and allowed us to order ok on app. No sign anywhere to say no chicken or budgers and didn't tell us for 15/20 minutes after we ordered and them telling us that there was none. When our food come they only brought adult meals with 1 child's meal not other 2 children's meals. Won't be back any time soon very poor customer service!

Been here twice in the last couple of weeks. This will be the last. Both times the service has been shocking. This time we stood for 5 minutes before anyone even appeared to take the order. Then waited 50 mins for the breakfast. I was then brought the wrong breakfast and told they did not have what I ordered. Just got my money back and left. Waste of time. Save yourself the hassle, go to the cafe in the Denny tank museum. Food is better and the service is much better.

Been a regular for years, almost a weekly visit, but since the takeover of Morrisons, an appreciable decline in service is clearly visible. From being told a few weeks ago, the meals would take thirty minutes, to having to wait nearly five minutes at the till today to place an order, never again. Three women were working in the cafe with dirty tables all around. A server should never go back to the kitchen empty handed. Could even hear someone sneezing badly in the kitchen. The problems here in Dumbarton, even extend to the Helensburgh store, where a cut back in personnel is having an effect on service and subsequent turnover.

Usual good value selection served by pleasant and courteous staff, service very slow due to perpetual staff shortages, funnily enough I find it's just Dumbarton branch with this ever present problem, I use Morrisons cafes regularly only travels around the UK and farely face this problem, perhaps the manager should be looking at this !!!!.Parking: Good

Self order machine sucks - still queuing. Morrisons cutting back on manpower and aiding the ‘great reset’ fiasco. Make your own tea and coffee despite the prices. Do they want us to cook our own breakfast next time?

We were the first customers of the day yet the floor and tables were filthy and covered in crumbs so the place obviously hadn't been cleaned since the previous day. Cutlery was dirty, dried food stuck to almost every knife and fork that we looked at and had to look at six cups before finding one that was cleanish.

Had mac & cheese ? ? was nice but a little more cheese would have been nice or make the cheese sauce thicker
