Unbelievable. Can't find a single fault. Exceptionally clean, outstanding service, plentiful parking.

No restaurant and not allowed to have takeaways in the rooms.

Self check in was easy and the details were sent via email on the morning of the due stay. Very quiet accommodation. The room was clean, welcoming with smart decor and the two wing chairs were a blessing for enjoying a cuppa on arrival. The shower was great, good pressure, easy controls. We are planning a return visit to the area soon and will definitely be booking here again.

No staff available, no restaurant or bar in operation. Felt like a hostel instead of a hotel! The linens and room were clean. Hated the experience.Rooms: Clean roomsNearby activities: Very central. Close to everything.

Fortunately there was a housekeeper on site changing a room. She helped us by contacting maintenance who came and repaired the room lock Every night we were disturbed by creaking floorboards in room above every time people moved around. In morning woken by creaking floorboards. And when the above rooms shower was used it sounded like a bucket being filled from a hose in our room. Breakfast available for a fee - Doesn’t exist Free self-parking on site - Doesn’t exist. Free off-site parking is on the road outside or a carpark 100yds away. There is no bar. The restaurant / bar was closed a year ago. None of the guest services exist. All the outdoor areas are closed off. There is no communal areas or TV in lobby.

Very unclean hotel room. The hotel were unable to help or offer an alternative clean room for our stay. There was no tea and coffee making facilities either. We did not feel it was clean and safe to stay so had to seek alternative accommodation. The hotel staff were nearly impossible to get hold of. No staff could be found on site and when you call the numbers provided often there was no awnser. When I did get through I was told to call the reception number and not the duty manger. I would personally not recommend staying here. Dirty, unhelpful and unwilling to offer any form of refund.

Rooms are clean, beds are Ok. This hotel is let down by the lack of onsite facilities. No restaurant, no breakfast. The silver lining is I can recommend The Beech Tree Cafe at the far end of the high street. Open from 7-30. Breakfast is great!! Cakes look fantastic!!

Great location. Very easy to check in and out by yourselfDidnt sleep much due to noise and paper thin walls. There were bugs in the bathroom. Not great value for money overall.

booked for 1 night, and received 8 emails confirming booking and conditions. room very clean, bed very comfy. with no staff at all which seemed weird. although pre paid it seemed like we had gotten in and were squatting for free. wouldn't go again.

We stayed at Old Churches on a Itison deal. Firstly, check in time, as seems to be becoming more common we could not access our room until 4.00pm, with COVID restrictions being lifted why is this still the case! There is no reception, room access is via code with no personal interaction. This might suit some but even a friendly welcome would be nice. We met no one during our entire stay. How do they know who's checked in in event of fire? Room itself was spotless, and comfortable, nice bed and shower hot and powerful. Great location for hotel and view of cathedral was magic.

We were visiting family in Dunblane this week. The Old Churches House fitted the bill. It's in the town centre with parking. The room was warm and comfortable. We will be returning to the hotel. Please note that the restaurant has been closed so currently no meals are provided at all. We had breakfast once at the nearby "Another Tilly Tearoom". It was a Saturday morning and very popular, we were lucky to get in. Most people had booked.

Had a negative experience for several reasons with this establishment unfortunately. Firstly, I booked a room through booking.com for Old Churches House hotel. The name on the booking is Old Churches House hotel. The photos in the listing are of Old Churches House hotel. The address in my booking is for Old Churches House hotel. Only on the morning of my arrival did I get an email saying I’m actually staying at Chimes House B&B which is across the road from Old Churches House. The only indication I wasn’t staying at the main hotel is that my room selection was listed as “annex”. Annex implies I may be staying in a building attached to the main hotel, but not an entirely different establishment with a different address and a different google reviews listing. I should never be booking a room on booking.com for a hotel listing with photographs, reviews and address information of a different building to the one I’ll actually be staying in. This is misleading to the point of outright deception. My second issue is the complete lack of secure bicycle storage. I am travelling by bicycle and cannot risk my only means of transportation being stolen. When I asked the hotel if they had any secure storage for my bike the answer was no, and I couldn’t keep my bike in my room. The only thing they could offer was what they called “bike racks” outside the main hotel (Churches House, the place I’d actually made the booking for). But these bike racks were actually just ground-level bike stands that you can’t lock your bike frame to. These style of stands are functionally useless as a security measure. They’re as good as telling a customer to rest their bike against a wall and hope for the best. Thirdly, my tv didn’t work. Which is the least of my issues with this booking but still an irritating additional problem. My recommendations for this hotel would be to immediately update their listing information so that Churches House and Chimes House are SEPARATE. You cannot have customers book a room using photos from Churches House when they will be staying across the road in a completely different building with a different name and different google reviews listing. They should also provide some form of secure bike storage for cyclists and bike tourers. Even a proper bike rack would be an improvement. Ground level bike stands you can’t lock your frame to are useless as far as security and should not be offered as an option for cyclists staying overnight. And obviously the tvs should work.
