Better than last years Christmas meal but not as good as the beefeater by the river at discovery point .

Decent beefeater. Not the quickest of service for business travellers, don't seam to like it when you get the "meal deal" with your room for some reason... no idea. But I digress. Hotels clean. Ish. Parking is good. And free. So yeah all around standard stop off.

Booked here for our Christmas Day lunch and soon received a request for full payment up front and full food order or the booking would be cancelled. Made a special trip into the Gourdie and paid in full plus filled out the formal food order. Two days letter we received another notification stating that, if we didn't pay in full and send them our food order, the booking would be cancelled. After fighting with their automated phone service, which refused to actually put me through to a human, I was assured that it was an error and our booking was fine.Yet another notification arrived on Christmas Eve stating that the booking had now been cancelled!I ignored this one and we turned up for our booking, expecting the worst. Fortunately, the notification was another error. However, as the photo shows, the food wasn't up to the standard expected for a Christmas meal. The fillet steak was, in a word, terrible. On the plus side, our server Jack was attentive and efficient in dealing with our complaint about the steak.Unfortunately, it was a Christmas meal and we were 400 miles from home, with no opportunity to go elsewhere and our expectations were not met. We will not return.

I am very sorry to say last night's meal was shocking ? hard uncooked food when I told the waiter he said other people had complained also but nothing was done it's unbelievable that we were treated like that, so poor I use the hotel all over the country its just aswell we are only here for a week.

Disappointed tonight for our tea... food took 45 mins to come yet the place was not busy. My food was hot hence 3 star but my friends was pretty cold. And the place was colder than normal . Totally understand its not always easy to get right everytime but just highlighting the issues we experienced today . Also to point that the amount of chips my friend had was very small . Pic to see

Very clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Had most meals in the Beafeater restaurant next door. Good selection of food, friendly staff. Plenty greanery surrounding the property. Great cocktails too.

Only had breakfast this time. Buffet and made to order, everything is great. Was quiet when I went.Vegetarian options: Decent choice.Parking: There's a lot of parking plus there is an overspill areaWheelchair accessibility: No ramp from reception, need to go outside.

Great staff, shame about the Sunday roast. Dry overcooked lamb. Service was great though, atmosphere was dull live goods waiting room.

Went inside and there was basically no one dining there and was told there were no tables available for another hour and a half. What a joke. Staff member was rude to us when we asked to be seated.

An amazing experience came in got greeted by a member of staff and got seated and served drinks. Food was excellent we had a sirloin steak with peppercorn sauce and chips and a Sunday Roast with everything on it. Really recommend here for a quiet dinner and drinks. Service and food was great ?

Pretty disappointed overall. Only bar seating available despite the restaurant being nearly empty and this was at 8pm. Lazy. Also disappointed with breakfast, chef can't make a poached egg and beans were cold. Bacon and hash brown were good though. The coffee machine latte was also very weak. Not worth the £10

Extremely disappointed. Stayed at the premier inn next door for 2 days and went in for a breakfast in the morning. Way too rude staffs. People don’t even have the patience to respond and then move on. They talk to us while walking. Being in the hospitality sector this is a ridiculous service. Spent £45 worth food and food was not as expected to be honest. Meat was like a rubber and hard to cut and chew. Mouth started paining. People here should definitely need to learn about hospitality. Being new to the place they should guide the customers and not to be rude. Definitely won’t recommend.

The basics done badly!Stayed at the premier inn next door and reserved a table for 6pm. Came into the restaurant to be told they had nothing on the system but I could sit in the bar area, fine, no issue.Ordered a bottle of peroni and a flaming combo. Beer was handed to me warm. When the food arrived I was only given a knife and had wait in a queue at the bar to ask for a fork as no service staff were nearby. Food was warm, not hot and missing the bbq sauce, which again I had to ask for.Nobody came to check my meal was ok.The chicken and ribs were dry and the corn tasted like it had bathed for a week.No napkins anywhere to be seen…kind of helpful when eating finger food. No atmosphere or music playing as all I could hear was ‘the Chase’ showing on the TV.Fair to say I won’t be returning.
