Been going to Chinatown for a good few years now and the food has always been really good and staff are always really nice. Since covid the prices jumped up and rice was no longer included in the meal which meant you were paying roughly double for a meal. Haven't been for a few months and went last night to get a portion of chips, rice and curry sauce and a portion of rice and curry sauce. The price has almost doubled and the portion size halved. Still tasty but considering it was just some boiled rice, a few chips and a bit of sauce, I don't think it's worth it now. Won't be back in a hurry.

Ordered from Chinatown at 18:51 was told be over an hour which was fine.. 19:40 the food comes which is great timing. All downhill from there..when i ordered it i made it clear NOT to put nuts in the kung po chicken dish. When this arrived it was floating with nuts, so i phoned to make them aware and also order curry sauce which i forgot the first time round ( my bad was too busy telling her i didnt want nuts) 40 minutes later the replacement hadnt arrived and everyone else had finished eating so i phoned back to say it was pointless delivering it but when the woman answered i was met with abrubtness how they had to wait on driver which i wasnt even phoning regarding just save them a wasted journey and us getting food we wouldnt need ??‍♀️however by the time i got through (about 5 phone calls later) it was already 2 minutes away and they couldnt cancel it but i explained i wouldnt be paying the extra for the curry sauce everyone was already finished their food so she was able to phone the driver to take that out the order but was not able to cancel the food coming?According to the woman i hadnt actuallly waited 40 minutes even though my call logs say other wise and as i told her this she went quiet and huffed and then proceded to hang up the phone. Not one to normally complain.. but the attitude of some people not even an apology for getting it wrong in the first place and on the first call was quite abrupt also??‍♀️ when the driver ( who was really nice) came to the door she said the the girl at the shop said she couldnt underdstand as theres no nuts in this dish anyway??( pic says otherwise)Shame really the other food looked amazing and i really anjoyed my dry rice and prawn cracker?10/10 recomend not phoning the shop unless you want a side attitude

Order took 4 hours to come while the restaurant lied to us about it.Ordered around 5.30, just eat told us it had been delivered at around 6.15 so we called and we're told it'd be 15 minutes. An hour later we called and were told it was on the way. Still nothing another hour later so called asking for a refund and was told I'd get some free coke and was swiftly hung up on while insisting on a refund. Eventually we ordered from elsewhere (Dragon's Pearl, Delicious!) and our original arrived at about 9.30. They refused to refund us.

I’ve ordered for the first time today. I’ve made my order by a phone call (no problem with communication). I need to mention that the discount doesn’t apply for phone calls unfortunately. I’ve got two munch boxes (4 and 5) and one extra sweet and sour sauce. I was expecting the 5 to be little bit bigger than the 4 and in aluminium container but they were pretty much the same. Only thing I have to be critical about is the honey chilly chicken cause it was bit dry. I’ve got hot and sour soup “in” the 5 munch box and it was separate and a big portion. The chicken screwers were AMAZING and they give sauce with it (lot of places do not)so that was I think my favourite thing. I got the extra sauce in case there won’t be enough sauce to mix the rice/noodles with but it wasn’t needed. Although the sauce spilled a little from one of the boxes but it was covered in aluminium foil. Overall the portions were big full of taste and hot on arrival. The delivery was really quick (20 minutes). The driver was really nice and cheerful. I was really happy cause after so many mixed up orders from places such as McDonalds or KFC having Chinese place to get my order correctly was great. Thank you ? keep up good work!

Been using China Town for a few months and never been disappointed until tonight! Prices appeared to have doubled £41 for 3 meals, rice was missing. I called to complain and repeatedly told "next time". Sweet and sour chicken was hard and couldn't even be chewed so whole portion binned!!! Definitely won't be back

£17 munchie box deal. Absolutely delicious, frankly an amazing deal which I can't fault. Collected as opposed to delivery. Noodles and main meal combo and everything was extremely tasty. Shop is one you could probably very easily overlook but that would be a mistake. Staff member serving the night I collected very polite and friendly and took great care to assist elderly patron making a purchase. Highly recommend

the worst chinese i have ever had. the chips were hard and reheated, the munchie box was really small for £15. the chicken was raw and had no taste, when we called the lady was lovely but the boss refused to give us a refund even though they forgot our drinks. will never be returning

bit of a belated review but been here a few times and have no fault for the takeaway whatsoever. Their munchie box is the best in Dundee by a longshot and for the amount of food they give you it is well worth the £17. Only problem is that I wish Chinatown was closer to my home but well worth the drive into the Hilltown for it.

Delivery order, food was every salty almost not edible and called the takeaway to tell them the black bean beef was not given they kept speaking over was hard to understand them and kept being defensive instead of explaining that the spicy black bean on menueis different to the pepper black bean which we usually order, it also tasted terrible. Was a very disappointing service and the food left us feeling very sick right after we consumed it
