I love Piccolo’s. It’s such a lovely restaurant nestled in the heart of the Perth Road. It’s cozy and intimate, with very chilled music in the background, that lets you chat and catch up with friends without drowning out your conversation. The staff, headed by Athol are fantastic without exception. Nothing is any trouble for them. They recently helped friends of ours arranged an intimate birthday get together for me and Athol went the extra mile to make sure we all had the most wonderful time. The food is authentic and wonderful, you just know it’s made with care. I especially love the pate and my husband loves the King Prawn Pepperoncino. There’s not many places around nowadays where you feel food and surroundings are carefully thought out. Lovely environment if you want something a bit special. Thank you team Piccolo

Hadn’t been here for a few years but had a really enjoyable Friday night dinner. Food and service excellent. Nice informal atmosphere and it’s good to hear people chatting away rather than music booming in the background which seems to be the norm in a lot of places.

Happened upon this restaurant last night looking for an early dinner. The waiter was great; he genuinely cared about our experience of the restaurant and the food they served, - which was great. Ideal place if you're looking for high quality Italian dishes in an intimate setting. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will return again.

Was disappointed with this restaurant. My starter of liver pate was very good . However the main course of spinach and ricotta pasta I sent back as the sauce was so dried up it was almost crispy. They just covered it with extra sauce on top which did make it more edible. For the sweet course I chose the crepes which again where not very good. The dining room was full so obviously people are enjoying the food. On the plus side the staff where excellent on what was a very busy night for them. Nothing was too much bother and they where very polite and attentive. The place itself is lovely very clean and the staff as I said where great.

Always has delicious food, great service and a cosy atmosphere. We have been a few times now and it has never disappointed. Staff are always really friendly, and the food is absolutely fantastic. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Dundee. Would recommend the carbonara or steak in particular.

This is our go to restaurant for me and my partner. We have been coming here for a couple of years and it has been amazing every time. We often get served by Lewis who is the friendliest and attentive. He also often helps out/makes our food which is spot on every time. The chef Athol is a brilliant person and very considerate of customers. Cannot express enough what a great restaurant this is. Perfectly cosy and romantic

Management was very rude. I had called up to book our reservation and everything seemed fine. I had double checked the reservation time with my missus so i was 100% sure on the time. We turn up 15 minutes early and the manager was instantly telling me that we are late, which we knew we weren't. Then at the end i was leaving a tip for the waiter and found out card was an option so i couldleave a better tip. I picked up the change i had left after paying it by card in stead and the manager said "you'll be needing that won't you" Disgraceful behaivour from the manager. Doesn't help that the protions were small so we were hungry a few hours later after having eaten x2 courses.
Met up with the in-laws just before Christmas to exchange presents. Hadn’t eaten here for a while, but everyone enjoyed lunch. Warm and cosy friendly service and super good food. Exactly what you wanted for this time of year. Recommend this restaurant.

We hadn’t been to Piccolo for a couple of years but last night reminded us of how good the food and service was. There were 6 of us and every dish was delicious and perfectly cooked. Well done, we’ll not leave it another few years till our next visit??

First time at the restaurant after years of wishing to go. Brilliant service and amazing food. Staff were really attentive considering there were only 2 working, not a fault could be identified. Will definitely return.
