Great festive menu - with a very wide selection of food to suit all tastes. Beer selection was not as advertised however - so a slight letdown that local beers replaced with Isle of Skye brewery. Service a little slow at times, and I cannot recall anyone checking on us and how we felt the meal was. But overall very good - and we will visit again.

Wonderful food, service.and surroundings. Also very reasonably priced for top quality on all these things.

Pleasant staff and food order taken and drink arrived promptly. Then I waited and waited and waited. No explanation and studiously ignored. Quite an achievement in a small restaurant! It was over 30 mins before my fish and chips arrived. The food was perfectly ok, nothing special but nicely presented. They have a very limited menu and although there were a good crowd in the restaurant was not full. For a pre theatre dinner slow service like this is unacceptable. Coffee was rushed

Was there for lunch with my family today. The light lunches were excellent (chicken and bacon salad bowl for me was generous and delicious). Waitress was superb. This place used to be very busy for lunch, but I guess the DCA has poached a lot of their custom. Put it this way: if you want a perfect lunch in a noise free environment, then get yourselves over to The Rep. Great stuff.PS - seriously dump the glass partitions between the foyer and reception area downstairs. PPS - park at the top of Tay Street in that dedicated car-park.

Visited with friends last night.Staff were lovely. Food was excellent and reasonably priced as were the drinks. The second time we have been recently and would definitely recommend to try if you are looking for a nice meal with more than just burgers on the menu.

We went for lunch, bonus it was a Christmas menu, so I had turkey and all the trimmings my wife had beef which looked amazing too. And to top it off I had an Irish whiskey but with scottish whisky.Compliments to the Chef and the lady who served us our meal.

Top notch food and service. Went to the Dundee Rep restaurant twice in a week for lunch over the festive period. First visit was on a Saturday late afternoon and then again on the 22nd Dec. We were very warmly greeted by the staff & shown to our table. As starters one of us had hot salmon pate and 2 went for red pepper polenta fritters. Delicious! For mains , turkey with all the trimmings and two of us opted for featherbed of beef. The beef was so tender and fell apart. The turkey was equally delicious. For sweets we had Baileys creme brulee with salted star shaped biscuits, limoncello cheesecake, scottish cheese board ,oatcakes, frozen grapes with juniper and plum jam. The plates were warm for the hot dishes. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal and thought it was very reasonably priced. The atmosphere was really warm and friendly with a low background level of music. The staff were friendly, attentive and were happy to chat or share a laugh or two. They, the chef and kitchen staff deserve plaudits for the quality of food and the level of service given and we were happy to leave a tip which reflected the good meal and service. All in all a great time. Thank you to Eve and the staff. Highly recommend going here , it is a local gem.

Don Quixote Simply brilliant great cast, good story Always liked the rep, but it appears the Toilets are a bit mad, as there are no urinals, just unisex, the snaking queues of dancing women are long, and I am sure no women wish to use a common wc that has been well hosed down. The French invented le pissoir 200 years ago, I humbly suggest you invest in some ancient French plumbing!

The setting, service and atmosphere is very good but the jackfruit, butterbean and coconut curry was just a (small) bowl of flavour free, grey mush. NO flavour of coconut at all and just 5 tiny mini poppadoms (like the bags you can buy in the supermarket) and one of those was dark brown and overcooked. So very disappointing. This would have been a one star review for the food except that my friend's trout was good and the waitress was excellent. Plus the convenience of eating pre-theatre on site is great. Sadly, I won't be eating here again in a hurry.
