Great service, such kind staff! We came in for breakfast but it was super super greasy! My eggs were floating in grease unfortunately and I had to get tissues to wipe the plate. My boyfriends breakfast also had so much grease with a thick paste on his bacon from this! I usually love the bell tree but unsure if I would return for breakfast. I would however, recommend for later on in the day.

Really impressed with this place. Good service and better than average food.Chicken Skewers, Katsu Curry and Appke Crumble were all tasty. Partner had Mac and Cheese plus Pancakes for pudding.Wheelchair accessibility: Mostly level access. Some seating areas have 2 shallow steps up. Continental breakfast items and coffee are stationed in one of these areas.

Went in for lunch today, got served for drinks straight away at the bar by a very friendly lady. Ordered food bang bang cauliflower for myself and crispy squid for my wife both came out really quickly and were perfect. I had a beef burger and my wife had chicken and bacon ciabatta for mains both were excellent the chips were very good also. Great service and relaxed atmosphere.

Arrived as the kitchen was closing after a 10++ hours car journey. The nice waiter, Aidan, asked the kitchen if they would make an exception.I cannot say thanks enoughThe pub was kept very clean, the team on the floor super niceThe music was not killing the conversations as it was just in the background.Honestly I am so grateful after such a hard day this hospitality makes the journey worth!

Stayed at adjoining Hotel so had a drink on Friday night and breakfast bothe Saturday and Sunday. 1. It took 3 attempts to get a glass on Friday without lipstick smears. 2. Why start breakfast at 8 am on weekends. Large number of people waiting to get in at 8am both days. People walking out as not enough time to get served before due elsewhere. 3. Saturday cooked breakfast absolutely appalling. Cold bacon, cold mushrooms and cold sausages which 7/8th anaemic on the outside. Looked like they had been microwaved from frozen. No time to wait for it to be cooked again properly needed to be somewhere else due to late starting breakfast. 4. Sunday slightly better sausages only 3/4 anaemic but at least hot. 5 toaster only seems to have two settings raw or burnt. Very poor experience overall.

Went on a whim for lunch. Nice friendly staff, no fuss getting a seat, although it was busy. Delivery after order was done quickly enough. Food was good and yes I would go back

Nice meal to celebrate a birthday. Food was nice. Pleasantly surprised to find non-alcoholic gin for me, the driver! Top marks for that alone!

According to it’s website “The Bell Tree is a handsome stone-built pub surrounded by the beautiful waters and sandy beach of Broughty Ferry”. Sadly, it isn’t. Although Broughty Ferry’s southern boundary is the Tay estuary, the Bell Inn is on the northern edge and beside a busy dual carriageway and in no way can you see the sea. It has housing on three sides and the line of trees in the photo of it’s outdoor tabling is the carriageway boundary. The food is passable “pub grub” and the prices are in line with “chain” prices, so reasonable value. Portions are adequate but untidily presented. The restaurant could do with a good clean but a complete makeover would be better. The staff showed little enthusiasm for their job or customers. The restaurant wasn’t busy but no-one questioned our satisfaction with the meal or whether we wanted more than the main course after we’d finished it. There are better venues so we won’t try this one again.Parking: Very cramped when the outdoor tabling is in use (this wasn't our first visit but it will be the last)

Steak pie was worse than a pukka.Chicken burger was similarly something from the "best value" frozen line from a shop.BBQ jack burger was actually pretty decent but nothing close to saving the day.

Took our young grandsons for a meal. I'd got mixed up and booked the wrong day but front of house couldn't have been more accommodating. Meal was great and the service could not have been better, all topped off with a bill that didn't break the bank! The outside space was perfect too for the kids to run about in between courses.
