My wife and I had a great evening watching the rugby and having a meal at Kaoglen. So did our dog who was very well looked after :) Debbie and her team were super friendly and attentive, the restaurant/bar very cozy, and the food we had was excellent! All round one brilliant. Will definitely visit again next time in Kirkmichael! Thanks again :)

Fantastic food, dog friendly a real hidden gem. We came here, tired and hungry on Monday 11th Feb ‘24. Good choice on the menu. Welcoming and great service. Food was excellent. Glad we found it because up here the roads are quiet and seems like there’s nothing for miles and then, wow! a light in the dark. What a find!

We came here for lunch, largely based on the existing reviews. We were not disappointed.The food was excellent. The service was hospitable and welcoming without being overbearing - which is difficult to do! Kudos to the young person who served our table, you did a great job!If you're in the area looking for some food in Kirkmichael, just come here. Don't go anywhere else. Phone in advance though as they do get very busy from dinner time onwards.

Wow! Amazing food, warm friendly welcome from the owners! Absolutely 10 ?. The steak pie is to die for! Everything is cooked fresh to order and tastes out of this world. What wee hidden gem. If you don't know, you need to know. This restaurant/bar is an amazing place ? Will definitely be back! 100% guys

Just back from a 2 night break at the lodges....the meals in the restaurant was first class !!. The service was fab ...can't fault a thing , would certainly recommend

We visited the restaurant on Thursday with Friends, we knew about this place from our holiday last year, it was just a bar , but Wow what a difference now, the atmosphere was warm a welcoming, the food exquisite, the hosts Jack and Debbie were extremely friendly and treated us like we’d known them for years. We retuned on Saturday and after having another fabulous meal we sat at the bar with locals whom we’d know for the last ten years, the place was full, so do pre book, off there again tonight, this is truly the best restaurant for miles, the locals told us that people are travelling from far away to come here, and they will not be disappointed, exceptional.

Such a lovely friendly place. Dogs welcomed with open arms! Fire on, rugby playing on the TV. Great food. They even had a specific menu for dogs which our cocker spaniel enjoyed! I left my hat their and was leaving the area the next day and the lovely owners posted it to me. 5/5 service!
