“Just had an order from The Lantern and had to review as a salute to such a fantastic takeaway. Been using them for over 15 years and for me, they are still EK’s best Chinese.
Ordered the spare ribs in BBQ sauce - meat was very well seasoned and cooked, and fell off the bone and the sauce is amazing.
Chicken balls were the tastiest and freshest I’ve ever had. They smelled and even looked incredible!
Satay sauce was lovely… a bit spicy with crushed peanuts - really was perfect for the chicken balls!
King Prawn Kung Po - what can I say… been my go-to order for a few months now and never disappoints. Slightly spicy, garlicky, sweet, sour and salty… loads of king pawns, cashew nuts, pineapple, peppers and onions in there too… can’t beat it!”

“I regularly drive a 45 mile round trip just to get food here. The food is always fast, fresh and amazingly tasty. I often find, with other chinese takeaways, that by the time you get it home or it is delivered that the food is soggy or cold but that is just not the case here. Everything is always pipping hot and still crsipy, 100% deserving of 5 stars!Parking: 4 spaces outside the front but shared with 3 other businesses”
