“Relaxing comfortable restaurant with simply amazing food bursting with flavour. We selected from the Meze menu - prawns, calamari, artichoke salad (with the most fantastic dressing) falafels, bread. The coffee was the best we've tasted in a restaurant - freshly ground! Coffee and carrot cake is a must. It was truly wonderful. Tuesday-Thursday you can BYOB which is great too. Looking forward to our next trip. Not expensive and only a stroll from the centre of town - well worth it to avoid city centre OTT prices.”

“We spent our last night locally in Newhaven at the Porto & Fi restaurant. From the moment we came in the door, we were met with a very friendly smile. We are a family of five from Cork, Ireland, we live near the coast ourselves, this was one of the best seafood meals we had. Four of us had seafood, one had chicken. From starters, main course and deserts, we could not find one fault. We loved Edinburgh but staying locally in Newhaven. To find this at our doorstep was a great finish to a great few days, we will definitely be back there.”

“A very nice place to eat in Fountain Park. Don't be fooled by its fancy decoration as it is part of a casino, the place itself is quite fairly priced. Service is lovely and me and my wife are definitely coming back here.”

“What a lovely relaxing lunch with great service. The type of service that is there when you need it without asking for it. I have here many times but need to review to confirm what a great place this is. Immaculate. Delicious food. Welcoming. Relaxed atmosphere. Everything I want for a lunch out. We stayed way beyond our booking and even moved to a nicer table in the window. None of this was any trouble to the friendly staff. It was also fully booked - on a Tuesday at lunchtime. That says everything to me.”

“Excellent brunch! We all enjoyed our meals and I had the best meal that I’ve had during my first week in Scotland. We had the rosti (one with haggis, one with bacon), the eggs Pacifica, and the avacado toast with salmon. All were reasonably priced and delicious.”

“The signature rump steak with pommes frites was the perfect ending to a busy day! Really good béarnaise sauce too. Finished our experience with a crème brûlée. Great service and a nice atmosphere, thank you!”
