Lovely afternoon tea in Bon. Especially liked that you could choose own selection of sandwiches. Not a salmon one in sight! Cakes were delicious as well. And for less than £20 each it was well worth it

To celebrate my Mums special birthday we had booked an afternoon tea at Bon Tea Room. This is somewhere we had heard great things about and I can understand why. The tea room has a lovely bright but cosy/home feel and we were made very welcome from the moment we stepped in the door. They offer a selection of food (toasties/sandwich from what I could see) but we went for the afternoon tea. This came with a choice of hot drinks and sandwiches and of course lots and lots of different hand made sweet treats. Scones, macarons, mini cup cakes, chocolate work bites, choux pastry shaped as a swan- I could go on! This was really special as you can see the time, care and love that has been put into making all the little bites. Everything looked fantastic and tasted incredible. On top of this they also remembered it was my mums birthday and brought out an extra cup cake and candle which was a lovely personal touch. Needless to say we all left happy and with a couple of boxes full of treats to take home! It was such incredible value and high quality, I look forward to going back and would highly recommend to all.

Had the most amazing 60th birthday celebration with friends at Bon. Service was outstanding. Quality of cakes and sandwiches wonderful. Great selection. The petit fours were delicious. My friends loved it and want to go back as do I. Thank you for a very special afternoon. Xx

We had a fantastic takeaway afternoon tea from Bon yesterday. Served on little cake stands, the lovely hand made sandwiches, scones and cakes were delicious, including intricately constructed mini swan choux buns and white chocolate teapot and cups! With additional boxes of extra sandwiches, scones and slices of cake, it was excellent value for money. Can recommend highly.

Another fantastic afternoon tea from Bon! Have sat in and had the afternoon tea many times but had takeaway this time. No difference in the quality and time spent creating this lovely, tasty treat! Served on little cake stands, beautifully wrapped with additional boxes of extra sandwiches and cakes. The little buns and chocolate cups and teapots are so imaginative and everything is delicious…you’ll not find better value for money!
Brilliant place for afternoon tea and incredibly good value for money.The sandwiches were so fresh and the cakes and scones were delicious and not forgetting the parting gift of a slice of sponge. Would thoroughly recommend.

My friend an I have just had the most wonderful afternoon tea at Bon Tea today. Everything you could possibly wish for with a good selection of freshly made sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam. Also on the third tier of the stand was the most beautiful selection of mini delicacies. Mini fruit tarts, fresh strawberries in wafer thin chocolate baskets just to name a few. The loose leaf tea was refreshing and topped up during our stay. I can't fault in any way and this experience is by far top of my list as far as afternoon tea goes. Also as part of the service we were aloud to choose from a selection of homemade cakes to take away. Cannot fault in any way. Will definitely be back for more.Parking: My friend has a blue badge and was worried about parking as she can't walk too far. However we were lucky enough to park directly outside the door.Dietary restrictions: The option of gluten free was also an attraction but my friend was happy to go along with the choice of white or brown bread.

Every time I visit Edinburgh I go out my way to visit Bon Tea Room. Their afternoon tea is delicious. Made fresh. And they accommodate for friends or family I take who prefer gluten free. The owner Lin is a delight and it’s always great to see her. Highly recommend!!!

Went for afternoon tea for two, nicely decorated inside with good service. We got the choice of three kinds of sandwiches from five choices on white or brown bread , four home made scones with clotted cream and jam. A selection of mini cakes and a choice of tea and coffee. After we also got another choice of cake to eat in or take away. Plenty to eat for two. Would go back.
