Coffee Shops in Edinburgh

“As a lover of specialty coffee, Lowdown hit the mark in every way. The coffee was unbelievably good (I had the flight), it was served and discussed with passion and love, and the space to drink it was beautiful and wonderful refuge from the Edinburgh rain.Do your research and come prepared to drink something new, prepared by amazing baristas who are obssessed with great coffee, and you won't be disappointed. This is not Starbucks!!”

“Amazingly authentic Japanese restaurant located along Leith Walk. Been there a few times and each time the food has been beyong amazing! The owners are lovely and clearly have a deep passion for bringing delicious Japanese cuisine and culture to Edinburgh. The restaurant is small but not claustrophobic, always cosy and warm (would definitely recommend booking ahead to avoid disappointment!), and also offers other interesting items, such as books, manga, figures and trinkets. Can't recommend this place enough!”

“Nice cakes, hot chocolate was good and a deceptively large amount of space inside. Staff were friendly and overall a nice little place to stop when having a day out in Edinburgh. My friend ordered the carrot cake and I can see why this is the number 1 bestseller, it's honestly the best carrot cake I've ever had and I'm not usually a fan.”

“The man that served me was chatty and beyond nice. The potato was perfect, I went for a regular cheesy beano, the portion size was great and the potato was crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. There was a good amount of filling and butter, salt and pepper aswell. Really hit the spot, check this guy out next time your in the area, really worth a visit.”

“I stopped in for a quick lunch and got the Serkan's special wrap to go. It had a lot of flavor and was a decent size for the price. It was a bit rich for my taste, but I still enjoyed it. It's a pretty small spot and seems mostly used for carry-out, although there are a few seats available inside. Friendly staff and a cute place.”
