We came for some early evening drinks (with our dog) and ended up staying for food and more drinks. Got a great table in the front window. Staff were very welcoming and attentive, even to the dog who was made to feel like a princess. Food was excellent as was the wine selection. We had our first date here 3 years ago and have and will keep coming back. Highly recommend, best spot in Bruntsfield.

Lovely bar and restaurant, friendly, effecient service, have no idea why it was quiet, one of the nicest places in Bruntsfield to go for a drink and something to eat in the evening. Good choice of wines, small but interesting menu, looking forward to coming back.

I’ve been to lots of amazing restaurants in Edinburgh, but the food here was easily the best food I’ve eaten. Every dish was a 10/10. The padron peppers with miso glaze was unbelievable. I’m recommending this place to every one.
After an awful week, the roast beef dinner, service and atmosphere at Decanter cheered us up so much. The music was lovely and not too loud, service was friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. Each table is almost in its own booth so it felt like a very personal experience. Looking forward to bringing our loved ones to Decanter!

Booked a table for 3 for dinner. I was very excited to go as the place looks nice and reviews were good but due to illness of two of us I had to cancel. They charged me a £30 fee. Now, I do understand they have a policy for cancellations and I'm really sorry we couldn't make it with very short notice but the fee I had to pay when doing the reservation was just £10. I didn't think the policy would be per head. I do find this abusive and personally, I wouldn't book again. Much easier to find places in Edimburgh where they don't charge you this amount. And their response to this issue is more understanding and friendly.
