One of the best independent coffee shops in Edinburgh of course. The coffee is so smooth and superior quality.
This coffee shop is quite small, seats 12 inside. The coffee is to die for, so yummy. I had a morning bun, and it was so indulgent, crispy and flaky. Will try some more pastry next time for sure. The staff was also very friendly.
I wish I took a photo of the yummy Morning Bun too. It was a cross between a croissant and a donut. This is a great place for a light breakfast.
We tried a few specialty coffee shops in Edinburgh. This is definitely the best!
Great service, good coffee, great food, my girlfriend insists it's the best pain au chocolat she's ever had, beating out what she's had in Paris (ノ゚0゚)ノ~
Pour overs were absolutely amazing. Love this little spot. Excellent staff
Went here on Pride Parade day, all the Costas were mobbed but luckily we found this gem. Service was polite and quick, coffee and hot chocolate were incredibly refreshing and sweet. Will definitely be coming again!
Cute tiny cafe with great cappucino. The pastries looked amazing. Staff friendly and inviting.
The coffee I had here was the best espresso I've ever tasted. It was sweet like nectar, without any touch of bitterness. The guys preparing the coffee were very friendly and told me about the process they use to make the coffee. You can buy beans for home.
I came back in early March 2023 and I could not be happier. The staff was very kind, professional and helpful. I asked a few questions about coffee (types and ways of making it) and I learned a few interesting things.Fortitude Coffee is a great place to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee with a yummy piece of cake. I would return to read, work, and meet some friends. Shortly, highly recommended!

One of the best coffee shops in Edinburgh. It’s a small but perfectly formed spot in a beautiful old building near the busy centre of town. The staff are friendly and very knowledgable and could talk all day about coffee! The pastries are delicious and freshly baked each morning.Great spot for a morning coffee with calm music and minimal, organic interiors.Oh, and the coffee is some of the best in town. Be sure to pay this a visit if you’re in Edinburgh and are passionate about coffee.
I had just a few hours in Edinburgh waiting for a bus connection and this is how I ended in Fortitude coffee.I had an absolutely delicious natural Rwandan drip coffee that made my day!Chatting with the friendly baristas has been a big plus in my stay there.I think this is a very tiny fantastic coffee shop with a huge local following. I heard the shop will move due to some post covid changes.Hope to see you again in the new location!
Got a batch brew & a latte. Batch was Shyira Natural Rwanda bean & was exceptional. Latte also very delicious but huge fan of the batch. Lovely staff too.
Very cozy, small coffee place. The coffee and the sweets taste amazing.
Tiny nice place with great coffee and absolutely great cakes. Definitely a must visit place if you like quality coffee. ☕️
