Walked in after having a really bad day to get some lunch on Saturday the 9th September at about 13:35. Waited at the door to be seated only for the two women at the bar to look at me, not say anything to me, and then complain to each other that I was there alone and that they “didn’t want to seat me.” Already embarrassing when I’m there alone and for two women to basically mock me for being by myself was the cherry on the cake of a fantastic day.

Food was lovely. We were not rushed, great view to look out to. Service was excellent from most staff but young Ewan stepped up a few points by being so welcoming, polite, very informative, nothing seemed too much for him even though I changed my mind about 3 times. I suggest he is promoted once he is old enough to serve alcohol as he is an asset to the company. Thankyou young man and best wishes for your future

Terrible service average food, Long time to be served. Doesn’t work to come here. They promisse a kids menu and you need to wait an ice cream until you give up and pay the check.

My partner chose this place for lunch and going on past experiences with Frankie and Benny's I didn't have high expectation; on this visit however, I was very pleasantly surprised! I had the Mediterranean grain salad - I wasn't expecting anything great but instead was surprised by how tasty, fresh and light it was with a good combination of ingredients. My partner and friend were also happy with their food. Service was ever so slightly slow, the reason for this being that they appear to be inundated with takeaway orders. The man who served us was very affable and looked after us well. Another thing, a member of staff who appeared to be a manager was wandering around in blue jeans. This looked a bit too casual and also didn't do much to distinguish him from members of the public. Overall experience was fine, for the price you really can't complain. I would certainly visit again.

Terrible gone downhill greatly. Dont know what's happened. Waitress didn't even wait to hear our drinks order, had to call her back to finish giving order. Waited 30 mins for food to arrive, could see it on counter. If waitress spent less time chatting to barman and more time serving ... Slow to clear away plates, food wasn't good, not up to usual standard. Burger was overdone . Wont be back usually looked forward to eating there not any more. Notice they have removed all the old photos etc that made it authentic. RUINED it wont be back.

This place was awful. The staff had no idea how to serve people, the menus had left over food on them, the cutlery was dirty. The food was not nice. I get that this is a tourist destination but make some kind of effort please ?

visited on NYE 2022. Didn’t book however the restaurant was not busy. Meal was well cooked and presented. Staff and Management were happy to chat which always makes the restaurant experience more personal. We were given a table with a sea view.

Havent been to F&B's for ages. But Menu has not changed and service was basic. Nothing to write home about Im afraid. Looking dated and tired.

Tried to book a table via booking system for a special occasion. Booking system doesn't work (tried different IE's and mobile app). Branch details on website and app don't work either. My wife found the phone number via Google search and had to call to make a reservation. Then onto the dining experience itself! The restaurant is in Ocean Terminal Edinburgh, which is a shopping centre with multilevel carpark. Upon parking and entering the shopping centre entrance on level D, we found the stairwells were closed with MDF barriers screwed into the door facings preventing entry. Waited 5 minutes for the lift and gave up waiting for fear of missing our reservation (booking was for 18:00). Another party and ourselves resorted to going out to the car park and using the ramps on foot to get to the next level, which is clearly dangerous. Arrived at the restaurant at 18:07 to find a fairly long queue (3 different parties). 2 staff on front of shop alternately showing people to their tables. Unsure if the first party had a table booked but the 2nd and 3rd parties didn't, which required some discussion with the front shop staff before being shown to their tables. The 3rd party were made to wait but were two young ladies, perhaps 14 or 15, and didn't seem to quite know how to respond so took a while for them to make a decision. Anyways, by the time we got to the front of the queue it was 18:12 so we were 12 mins late for our reservation - 5 mins of which was waiting in the queue. The front shop member of staff made a smart quip about us being over 10 mins late and that he was about to mark us as no shows so we would have lost our table. My wife pointed out that we had been waiting for 5 mins in the queue, to which he replied "no you haven't". So my wife is a liar then? I then pointed out the challenge we had with the stairwells and lifts, to which he replied "I have no control over what happens along there" whilst waiving his hands in the general direction of the red car park. Perhaps not but neither do I and it may be an idea to make customers aware of access issues at the point of booking given that you work there and would be aware. Party of 4. My pizza was burnt, other 3 were OK. Mozzarella sticks were about half the size they used to be and grossly overpriced for what you get. Made Manager aware of my opinion upon leaving, in front of the member of staff with whom I had issue. To be fair to the manager, he was perfectly professional. Won't be back though.

After a long day in the town site seeing and as we were staying locally on our last night in Edinburgh wanted somewhere close and easy. We've been to a few F&B and knew what to expect. Food was great, service even better, a nice view over the waters gave us a nice end to our trip. Nothing to fancy just good food in a nice location. Great end to a busy few days
