“Last time I was in Edinburgh, I ended up eating in the Cellar Door by chance. I remembered it as a nice location with friendly staff and good food. This time we booked it in advance and it was better than I remember. The only issue was that an earlier table had arrived very late and so our table wasn't ready. I can't blame the restaurant for that and the staff handled it very well. I had a smoked salmon mousse starter, a venison main and sticky toffee pudding. The starter was good, but not exceptional. The venison was probably the best venison I have had anywhere and the pudding was close to perfect. To drink we had a bottle of Amarone, which was really good. I don't remember anything specific about the service, but I have a general impression of the staff being very helpful and everything appearing very inefficient. I really can't find anything to fault and I would happily recommend the cellar door to anyone.”

“incredibly delicious cupcakes! My partner and I chanced upon this bakery when our go to cupcake place in Edinburgh was closed. honestly we were shocked by how tasty they were! We got 1 toffee cupcake initially, we were hooked and ended up trying almost all flavours! I have to say the best was the award winning strawberry cheesecake cupcakes!! So irresistible that we returned the next day for more to share with my family before leaving Edinburgh (and they loved it too)! The staffs were super friendly too! :)”

“Randomly found this place while walking around Edinburgh for a few days holiday. I was very surprised at how decent the food actually was. Plus the server was very friendly and extremely helpful. They have a lot of pizza options plus gluten free too, however, not too many other main options other than pizza. However the different pizza options were amazing and very varied. Their chips were personally the best my sister and I have ever had. Definitely go back again. Also didn't feel horrendous after the pizza like I normally do when having pizza as take out.”
