Have been staying here every year for five years for my birthday and always really enjoyed it but this year we did not enjoy our stay, so much so we actually left tonight at 8pm rather than 12pm tomorrow. The 4pm check in on Friday was disorganised chaos,. So much so it was bout 4.25pm by the time we got in our room. One staff member at any time at least when you could find a staff member that is. No mugs Spoon's or milk for tea. Eventually a staff member gave us some Spoon's and mugs then she had to go check in lots of people,. We stood there for half an hour waiting on hopefully catching a staff member to give us some milk for our tea but eventually gave up and poured our tea out. Movies have hardly worked all weekend. Could never go back to same movie, Or couldn't get them to work. We asked a staff member he said this happens sometimes an they can't fix it. We have never had any problems before with the movies. I don't blame the staff they are clearly over worked and under staffed. We won't be staying here in the future. Really put a damper on my birthday weekend. Been looking at this recently ??are clowns out there really paying £198 for one night in one of these pokey wee rooms??oh dear life really has gone mental since the so called pandemic ?? £60 pound a paid a couple of yrs ago. ??Enjoy Ur overpaying folks ???

We came in 3 hrs early today and asked to check in, the lady with glasses mean mugged us and said no not till 3pm. Didn’t offer us to pay the extra to check in but did allow us to hold our bags. As we came back at 3:10pm the next lady was 100 times more ruder then the first. We asked to grab our bags and they lady said sure and shooed me away, what I mean by that is the full hand gesture of go away as she handles my wife checking is in. Few mins after the lady asked us if we needed extra towels which at the moment my wife was confused because it’s our first time being here she thought the room didn’t supply towels originally and because my wife asked the lady “do we need extra towels”, she also gave my wife a dirty look like she was stupid. My wife ignored and then asked “how many pillows are in the room” and the lady then responded there are two so my wife asked for an extra pillow and the lady just rolled her eyes and said yea we can do that. Literally our first few minutes of the hotel we have been treated with the worst disrespect I had ever seen. The rooms are ok, the bathrooms aren’t cleaned properly, you can see build up on the walls, and overall this has been the worst experience in a hotel we have ever been into in the matter of 5 minutes and unfortunately have to stay here for another 3 more days because of our reservations. Don’t recommend unless you want horrible service and dirty bathrooms. Location is decent, surrounded by food spots and the castle isn’t but 10 min walk. Only thing decent for this hotel.

Great location for exploring Edinburgh but not up to the standard of other hub hotels we've stayed in. Checked in to a room with a broken blind and a broken, manky air con unit and was told by an extremely defensive and unapologetic member of staff that the hotel was fully booked so no option to switch to a different room. There was also a very aggressively flashing fire alarm right above the bed that disturbed our sleep. Won't be staying here again.

Great place right in the centre of everything. Round the corner from the Royal Mile and really clean compact rooms to rest in. Nice bar downstairs with complimentary tea and coffee. Very reasonably priced.

**March 2024: Weeknight/Weekend Stay** I book a two night stay here and for a solo traveller I thought it was a good choice especially for €81.50 a night! Patrons use the kiosk to self checkin and are given a keycard. You'll use the keycard to enter the elevator and late in the evening the hotel entrance (which, makes me feel a bit more secure as a solo female traveler). The room itself was super compact/quaint; however, the bed was soft and comfortable and the shower had nice hot water and good pressure. The amenities were new/modern and there's a space underneath the bed to store your luggage. Location wise it's walking distance to the Royal Mile and Clarinda's Tearoom, which is a cute shop for tea and scones. I enjoyed my stay here and never felt unsafe. If you're just looking for an affordable place to crash - Hub by Premier In will fit the bill!

We booked here as had stayed in the Premier Inn next door before so liked the location. I knew I had booked the hub and am glad I'd booked the larger of the rooms as there wasn't much room to move so the smaller room would be a bit of a squeeze. We were happy enough with our room. Maybe housekeeping need to pay a bit more attention to detail. Base of the bed quite dusty and a piece of used tissue on the edge. Apart from that we were happy enough. Had breakfast once which was adequate. The next morning there wasn't very much available early on - no bread at all which pretty much ruled out a filling breakfast so we didn't bother. Unlimited tea and coffee was good. The bar/seating area was quite nice to have a coffee and relax after all the walking around Edinburgh. The staff seemed to be a bit run off their feet, they seemed to be jack of all trades. Maybe a bit more staff would be a good idea. I would definitely stay again though.

The hotel itself was perfect. The room was everything you would need for a short stay, staff were friendly and helpful. The location was great for being ble to access local sites. The only downside was the food. Overpriced for what it was, certainly wouldn't eat again. But if you need a decent nights sleep, in a clean room then this hotel is all you need.

If you are in a pinch and can book a hub room for a good price, fine. Otherwise I would avoid these hub rooms, especially in big cities. But otherwise these are totally overpriced cramped boxes, super dirty bathrooms and mouldy as there's no window to open. The rooms are not cleaned properly - full of hair and body fluid marks from previous occupants. The air con is very noisy and only goes down to 18 degrees, so it's either noisy or roasting hot. You won't sleep well unless you like a really warm and noisy room, as you can hear everything from the rooms to the side of you.

I have stayed in many Prem Inn Hubs, but this was my first visit to the one on the Royal Mile. I booked it due to location and it was excellent. However, when I arrived I paid for early check in and was greeted by staff who were not the friendliest. I checked in to my room (Room no 426) and was met with a few issues. There was a hair on my bed as well as some old stains. The paint was peeling next to the AC The fan itself was thick with dust and there was mould on the roof and behind the AC. I went downstairs to request a room change, which they accomodated. Pics attached of my initial room. They upgraded me to a slighlty bigger room which I was very happy with. However the AC in my new room didnt work so I was a bit warm at night. This was ok though as I was happy to be out of the mouldy room. The security guard working nightshift was the nicest memeber of staff I met! He helped me fix my key card and he was chatty too.The other staff there barely spoke to words to me when I said good morning/good bye.I was found waiting at the check in desk twice whilst staff were in the kitchen eating a snack. I actually had to poke my head in to get their attention. Granted the hotel was dead quiet so she wouldnbt have heard me at the desk. But she should have been keeping an eye out for any patrons needing help.I only stayed in this Hub due to it's location. I think next time I will stay back at the Hub at Haymarket as it I had a better experience there last time.

The perfect compact space for an overnight stay in the heart of the City. Staff were efficient, the bar was relaxed and lots of amenity right on the doorstop.

The hotel is generally good but the worst thing is the cleanliness. The room was not very clean (for example there was mold in the air conditioning, some stains on the bed frame, shower…). The bed was quite uncomfortable. However, it is fine for a few days for the price and it is very well located.
