Great place with excellent beer and lovely

Great choice of beers and all at sensible strengths, good bar staff and a quiet back room too. Well worth a visit.

Very good lager and IPA. Basic taproom atmosphere, but friendly service.

It's a great little brewery overlooking beer tanks. However, we had the pale ale and the cold IPA and even though they sounded delicious on the menu they were actually pretty watery and tasteless! Such as shame!

Great pub with good beer and a view of their brewery which is super cool! They have a great selection of merch too. Very Leith.

Fantastic wee taproom - not huge, so I can see it being less appealing when it's very busy but was fairly chilled out on our Sunday evening visit. Lovely beers at reasonable prices served in bespoke glassware, all whilst overlooking the brewing operation.

We hired the backroom for our wedding and had a truly fantastic time. The staff were incredible and were on hand to help with anything we needed. The selection of drinks was brilliant. We are local to Leith and this is truly a brilliant community asset. Keep up the good work!

Attempted to go here at 5.45 with my husband and our 2 month old. Left the pram downstairs and walked upstairs snf was told immediately that no under 18s were allowed after 6...1) it was before 62) it's not as though we're going to be passing a baby a sneaky beer or a risk of her going to the bar ?3) its not a nightclub its a microbrewery with a tap room - seemed very overkill! We only wanted to try their beers ??

Moonwake is a cool place and that's my first tip.Tip: It gets cold here, even under the heat lamps but bring a coat and come anyway. This is a review of the Moonwalk Taproom. Yeah, there's a brewery here and from those clean and shiny vats come some great tasting, local and craft beer. But what else can I say about the brewery?I suppose I could say that the open entrance space has been used for a local pop up market and it was petite but fun. There were just a few stalls but each one was local, quality and good. The main reason, unless you want to look at shiny vats, to visit is the taproom. The taproom is up a flight of stairs, is on a balcony and overlooks the brewery. Isn't that a great place to enjoy freshly poured pints?Staff here are friendly and since they make the beer on offer are way more involved than some city centre franchise clone. You can meet the owners here.Order at the bar or at the table. I've talked through what I feel like and have had recommendations.Tip: Moonwake is a local treasure, isn't huge so you can strike out and turn up when there are no free tables. Consider getting in touch if you want to bring the office or a group of friends.Pizza! For at least half the time I've been drinking here there's been a deal with Pizza Geeks. That's a brilliant local pizzeria. Use their app to do an "at table" order.Frankly, beer from the brewery served with freshly made pizza carried over the bridge from the local restaurant is amazing.Tip: Follow Moonwake on social media. They're lovely, transparent, informative and it's the best place to keep up with their latest brews and events.I'm a fan but I'm yet to try their e-commerce offer. If I buy a crate of their beer then I'd drink it![May 22 update - even better with beer garden][September 22 update - still good][April 23 update - really enjoy their market events, recommend following on social to find out about them][July 23 update - growing and successful but still feels indie and authentic][Overly 23 update - Moonwake Beers are superb and they have a knack for great guest taps too]

We visited Moonwake last Saturday afternoon for the Beer Festival. We had a great time. Even with the torrential downpours. An absolutely fantastic selection of Moonwake’s own beers & also some lovely guest beers on tap. The staff were so knowledgeable and very accommodating. Great food on offer too. We’ll definitely be back ?

Very simple taproom. The beer you will be pleased to know is fresh and excellent. The wildly named lager is called , yes you guessed 'lager'. It's fresh, simply hopped, has a great head, and has a nice long finish. Highly recommended.

Booked a table here to try a few beers. Really glad we booked as it became very busy. Great selection of beers to try and I noticed that there are other drinks available for those that are not into craft beers. Although we did t try the food, it smelled amazing. Loved that wou could see all the brewing equipment as you say as well. Will definitely return

Another excellent Taproom in the city. Did a crawl around many while we were there and this place was as good as any we visited. Nice atmosphere and ample seating
