Great dinner experience in a very cozy and comfortable atmosphere.Cocktails are fantastic and the service is nice and attentive. We shared several dishes. The crab, halibut and udon were remarkable.A place to come back when we visit Edinburgh again.

First class of vibe, service always in time and super expensive price. The food itself is too ordinary and over-packaged to be called as fusion and be to sold at that price. Most of dish tried to put a lot of irrelevant ingredients together to show off the ‘class’ of it, but sorry, doesn’t work. The popular crab soup doesn’t have the taste of fresh crab, but just butter. We are 2 and spent nearly £150 (including a 10% service fee), and not feeling full at all after the meal. (Normally we would be super occupied after a ramen). Do not believe when they told you “it’s gonna be a big dish” as it will not - except the price will be doubled.

Food was fantastic. My husband and I throughly enjoyed all our dishes. I thought the vegetable tempura was nice but not overly tasty and relied heavily on the dipping sauce for flavour. The beef short rib was again very tasty but a little under seasoned. We ordered 2 espresso martinis at the end which unfortunately were not great. I did complain as they were watery and tasteless. Staff were really helpful about it and agreed to take them off the bill. Overall we had a lovely meal and will definitely be back.

Food 10/10. Vibes 10/10. Service 11/10. Don't hesitate, it's legit.

Not thrilled with the food, for a Michelin restaurant I was expecting something ‘wow’, but far from it- the food is average (only the crab butter was very tasty), although service was very polite and attentive, each dish would come every 20 minutes apart from each other which was bit great. Especially the short rib was disappointing, half of the meat was fat. Won’t be going back or recommending to anyone else.

Words cannot describe how good this food is. Small tasty plates that arrive as they are ready to be served.

Relaxed and casual environment with very attentive service. Food was gorgeous - they did advise us to order a lot as they are all canapé sized portions. Would love slightly larger bites for a larger price but overall a great dining experience.

Delicious! Don’t hesitate to book a table. Crab, kale salad, chocolate miso & so much more.

Tried out Noto for the first time last night, had seen mixed reviews but can only give my honest review. So firstly, listen carefully to the advice of waiting staff, so you fully understand the concept and decide how much to order. We ordered 4 small plates and one larger one, and finally one dessert. We shared between two people and it was more than enough. Quality of food was outstanding and some fantastic blended flavours. Recommend the Crab, Cod Croquettes, Duck Bao Buns and Short Rib. The chocolate dessert was one of the best we had ever tasted. Service was first class, with helpful advice from the staff. Atmosphere was really good, casual feel to it. Drinks menu has enough for most people. Price was very fair for the standard of restaurant, £159 for 6 course dinner, shared, with 5 alcoholic drinks and this included the service charge. Will definitely return and would definitely recommend trying Noto out. It’s not for everyone but try to understand the concept before you book.

Pretentious restaurant with ridiculous cancellation policy (100£ for two people).

Cool concept but disappointing experience overall. Good food but very expensive and small portions make it underwhelming. Service was okay. We had a cocktail and it was very average, they put a big ice cube to make it look larger than it was. Wine was served warmed. Total bill £130, and we left hungry.

Great places, we were there for Valentine's Day, the cuisine is excellent, modern, tasty and full of different textures, we were served by a lovely person who recommended bars where you can listen to music in the area, it was

My Second visit. Start friendly and accommodating. Food tasty. The buttered crab with sourdough was excellent. We had a wait for our short rib to come - they may have forgotten we ordered it - but it was delicious when it arrived. Rhubarb dessert was so good I could have had it twice!

Noto has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere and this is well matched by the staff who are warm, friendly, knowledgeable but not pushy. I went for lunch on a Sunday and had a lovely if not a particularly outstanding meal. The menu is interesting and highly seasonal. I went for all small plates and two desserts and enjoyed a cocktail and a class of white wine. The cocktails almost stole the show - the espresso martini was rich, intense and creamy while the old fashioned was perfectly balanced. The food was good - the crab butter and sourdough was the highlight while the duck bao bun let it down - it felt bland and unfinished. I normally love a tapaa stylw menu with small sharing places but this felt a little ridiculous even between two people - the plates had barely 4 or 5 mouthfuls. While all of the mouthfuls were delicious I just think it was a little underwhelming.
