Loved the food and drink and would definitely go back. I think we were there for 4 hours, thankfully it was quiet so we were left alone. The staff were lovely and helpful too.My only negative comment would be about the toilets. You really need to have proper sanitary bins, certainly the one I used didn't and a normal bin really does cut it.

Stayed in Edinburgh last weekend and had a late breakfast one of the mornings. Had a fantastic meal and the staff were so friendly. I really recommend Scran to everyone.

Sorry guys, I ordered some Hangover Pancakes ? and unfortunately, they tasted a lot like carton. It was sad because I was really craving them. The rest of the food was good. They have a really good gluten free option as well. The service was friendly.

The location of the place is great and the service as well but the food was not it. It looked and tasted sloppy. We ordered the flatbread and the avocado one and we definitely didn’t like the flatbread but we ate the avocado one because we were hungry. The croissant on the other hand was amazing! The brie and the cranberry were combined amazing. Overall we think changes could be made for better. :)

Brilliant food good atmosphere bright lively yet relaxed and causal however very cool
Called in for breakfast before heading to the train, service was excellent as was the food. Very good value for money, would heartily recommend a visit.

We walked in to ask for a table and we were rudely shouted at across from the bar by the waitress to wait outside (there were tables available and the restaurant is walk ins only) we were a bit shocked but waited outside as assumed they were just busy, we waited and waited whilst the waiter ignored us and folded menus/ or napkins and the waitress also continued to leave us waiting outside. We left and carried on to a more welcoming and friendly cafe down the road . Would not be returning, which is a shame as my wife really wanted to visit this place but noting worse than rude and abrupt staff.

Came here a few years ago and needed to come back during our return trip to Edinburgh! Lovely staff, great atmosphere and food arrived timely. Boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed the Scottish breakfast, and I loved my chicken chipotle wrap. Thanks again! ??

The food was very nice looking and tasted fantastic. But the restaurant was very pricey. When received the bill the service change was already put onto it, therefore we could not decide ourselves on what to tip.
