I was in this chippy today, food was lovely but service was better!! They gave a little boy, who was there himself, a free ice cream cone. The boy was delighted but as he left the shop, carrying his scooter as well as the cone, he dropped it. They shouted him back to give him another, even tho the boy told them it was ok. He was so happy, even phoned his Mum to tell her. He left but came back a few minutes later and asked the girl who served him if he could give her a hug ? so lovely!!

At least 5 staff on and the chips are over cooked and not fresh. Just scrappy wee bits too. This place used to be alright but there's no competition now so they can get away with shan scran. Service was quick but the quality suffers. Up your game guys!!

Ordered pasta, calamari and a pizza. I should have remembered that every time I order a pizza it's either wrong or missing something Thistime we picked it up. Calamari was soggy and tasteless and the pizza was raw. Really disappoints , this used to be a restaurant with high standards but it seems no one is checking them these days. Won't be back, sick of giving them the benefit of the doubt whilst they charge ridiculous prices.

Lovely place with great food and even better music! Highly recommend their gluten-free fish and chips! Will say the goldfish at the front were a bit creepy and were staring at us our whole meal…

Yummy and big portions! Always super fast and really lovely lady at the front. A must if you visit Portobello. I never been in the restaurant always choose take away but it seems lovely too.

Honestly had high hopes for this place but should have taken more notice on other reviews posted here.Service was atrocious and unfortunately food was not very far behind.Went in for some fish and ships, calamari and whitebait.Whitebait was off, with a super strong fishy smell. Chips were blunt and soggy as was calamari.Fish was decent and well portioned.Service: There is a lot of work to be done. Overall approach of the waiting staff was dry and did not give the feel they care.Waiter misunderstood our order, brought extra portion chips on the table. When we tried to explain that this was a mistake she told us "you ordered it" and that was about it. No effort to find a solution and we were essentially forced to pay for something we did not want.At £15-£16 a portion you'd expect good quality and good service.Save your money and go somewhere else were they care for hospitality and good food.
