Popped in for a coffee on a recent visit to Edinburgh. One of the nicest cups I've tasted in a long time. So nice, I popped back next day to buy a pack of their beans. Hoping to replicate the taste when I get back

Not amazing considering cost and how it looks. Food was okay at best. Don't think I'll be back in a hurry. Atmosphere totally dead and male toilets in a poor state. Visited on Tuesday of this

My very first visit with my friend who has been before! I work in George St but don't venture past Hanover St! The Victoria Sponge was delicious and the staff were very helpful. I got a birthday treat too! Thank you and I will recommend your cafe/restaurant.

Filthy overpriced mess. Inept waiting staff with no social skills successfully managed to ignore our table was still crammed full of previous customers plates. Toilets were disgusting too.

At 1130am on a Saturday we had to wait ten minutes for two cups of coffee. They eventually arrived in cups with no saucers, teaspoons, or offer of sugar or sweeteners. Very disappointing service; the deli was busy at the time but there seemed to be sufficient staff on hand to cope much better than this.

Lovely sandwich Turkey with cranberry toasted. Could have been toasted for a bit longer. Tables not cleared quickly enough . Had to ask for our table to be cleaned. The place looks quite dirty now. The ladies toilet could do with a thorough clean the sink looked quite grubby. I wouldn’t rush back unless the place was given a good clean. Usually like going here for lunch

Very good presentation dishes, great tasty coffee, and stunning views from the terrace to the Edinburgh Castle.

Food is great but I noticed they put vegetarian sandwiches on the same tray as meat for cooking which is slightly off puttingNeed to keep an eye on hygiene as the tables are very dirty and dirty plates not cleared very quicklyVegetarian options: Can’t stare vegetarian if they cook on the same plate as meat where juices are going to contaminate the options

Went here with a friend for lunch - what a find! The staff were SO friendly and provided great service, and the food was delicious with generous portions.A beautiful spot if you want castle views on a sunny day, but the inside was lovely as well with glass walls to take in the Edinburgh architecture.

Visited Sunday 20 August pm. Dirty, unhygienic, untidy and inhospitable.Coffee was good. The place needs a ‘make over’.

The man serving was friendly enough. Asked for todays soup and apparently they don’t do it anymore so just had a portion of the Russian potato salad which was pretty basic but ok. Sat in, the place is very cold and floors dirty as is surrounding units, window sills etc so doesn’t feel clean. Didn’t use the toilets so can’t comment. The sandwiches looked fresh and tasty as did the cakes. Would prob come back again to try one of those but as a take away option.
