Lovely wee cafe in a lovely wee village. The staff were efficient, pleasant and the Cullen Skink was better than good and served with a warm 1/2 baguette. We had a pleasant walk along the coastal path finishing off in this fine café. Superb.

First time visiting St Abbs and what a great place to be. Faced with beautiful scenery and lovely harbour Ebbcars is the perfect place to eat and drink. With a good choice of main meals and cake, we can heartily recommend the Cullen Skink and Haggis & Cheese panini (made with some of the tastiest Haggis I have ever had). In addition, the Victoria sponge and White Chocolate & Raspberry slice was amongst the best cake we've had in a long time. And to wash it all down, a lovely pot of tea. Prices for the food and drink were reasonable and well worth it, proving that you really do get what you pay for. And don't forget the staff (and locals) - everyone was friendly and welcoming. We are now looking forward to coming back again one day soon to experience it all again.

Very welcoming and helpful. Even found the times of the buses and suggested I take a photo so as to have them to hand. Thank you from a grateful tourist!!

This was an impromptu visit, and delighted we did !!! Will be back, without too much of a doubt. Lovely welcoming experience into a cosy cafe with great food at affordable cost. Lovely staff, and quick service with a smile. Great coffee and a welcome retreat from a blustery day, sun was shining by the time we left, inside and out !

At first glance you might blink and miss this simple little cafe, but it really is a hidden gem - why? There is no better pleasure than a mug of tea outside on one of their seats (whatever the weather) with one of their stunning kipper rolls, no frills - just a fresh roll, packed with amazingly smoked, salty, lightly buttery and delicious, meaty kippers. How good are they? Today we drove from Fortrose (just North of Inverness) back home to East Yorkshire - a journey that took around 9.5 hours - and we planned it specifically so we could drop in for a kipper roll for brunch! They really are that good! Once tasted, never forgotten!

We went to visit St Abbs and this cafe was in a perfect location by the harbour for a pit stop. It was late afternoon so we weren’t looking for lunch but fancied a coffee etc. The menu had your usual range and we went inside to order and found a MASSIVE selection of home made sweets treats and cakes to choose from. I genuinely couldn’t decide. Between us we tried Turkish delight tray bake, lemon meringue pie, Victoria sponge, scone and cream and Tottenham cake which were all wonderful! The staff were friendly and quick and were friendly with our doggy who had access to water too. My only slight criticism was the coffee which wasn’t very hot and out of a machine. Having said that perfectly drinkable. If in the area do yourself a favour and try the cake!

We ordered a crab baguet. Well, the crab did not appear to have any white meat, only a brown sharp-tasting sludge. Worse than that, the baguet was hard and stale. When i complained, I was told by the server that they were fresh and crispy when cooked in the morning. What's all that about? On the plus side, my wife and granddaughter really enjoyed their order, so maybe I was just unlucky. Nice place overall, but remember, crab ends in a 'b', not a "p'

Our Airbnb in Kelso told us about this cafe in St. Abbs so we made a little walking trip out of our visit and what a find...every holiday box ticked. A fab little fishing village, awesome position and scenery from the surrounding hills, a cute spot on the harbour, friendly & efficient staff, very financially friendly pricing and the food..exceptional ! After our walk we had Cullen Skink soup and a Brie, Bacon and Cranberry pannini. We finished with a Biscotti caramel slice and a Tunnocks caramel wafer brownie. Very filling and tasty. If you are either on holiday or just travelling through the area, stop at this fabulous cafe to be fed and watered like a King (or Queen). You will not be disappointed and very happy you did...stop by !!

This is a jem of a wee place to eat! The Cullen Skink is the best I have ever tasted!! All the staff are so cheerful and have a get knowledge of all their items and can give you allergy advice on any of the products on the menu!!! I can't recommend this place highly enough!!

Had an outrageously good Cullen Skink and a magnificent slice of white chocolate and raspberry pie. I forgot to take pictures before but the after pic speaks for itself. If you visit New Asgard a stop at Ebcarrs is a must.
