What are the opening hours? We arrived about 2.45 to be told we could only have what was in the display cabinet as takeaway. Our hot drinks and food were fine but it was disappointing (and cold!) to have to sit outside. A group who arrived shortly after 3, wanting drinks, were very upset to be told it was Closed despite the sign claiming Open till 4pm.

Went on a winter road trip to St Abbs, was the only place open as very small village but lovely place, was lovely and warm went you entered on a cold winters day this was lovely, food was good and reasonably priced, service was also with a smile, well worth a visit, toilets and cafe very clean and locals in it very friendly. Will defo be calling again.

Quick and chearful servive but appalling coffee ordered 4 flat white and one oat flat white. All coffees had virtually no creamy head on them, looked like something I could make at home with a kettle and a whisk. Sad that people don’t understand the value in great coffee.

Love this place when we come to St. Abbs great food at a great price super fish and chips and scones.Parking: Parking inside the old school playground or around the corner above the seafrontWheelchair accessibility: On one level chair access good
This little café was really a great find. I wanted some whwere that me and my family could grab some lunch whilst in the company of our Dog. We had done a search on trip advisor for somewhere dog friendly just over the border in Scotland whilst on holidaying Northumbria, and the old school café is St. Abbs came up. This venue had a well maintained, small carpark where we were able to park our car. The state venue was cosy, nothing to special but also more than adequate. Whilst at the cafe, there were several other customer in there, of which 2 other couple had brought there dogs with them. The young lady who was serving/running front of house was very welcoming, friendly and polite. When the food came, it was of a good quality. Nothing special, but i say that in the right way. I commented to my wife that the food there was good, honest, no frills but yet at the same time really tasty. Me and my son had the old school burger, and my wife had a cheese and ham panini. All in all, the welcome, friendliness combined with the value of the food and the fact Dogs are welcome left me feeling very pleased with my tip to the old-school cafe, if you want a cosy, well priced no frills meal whilst being made to feel very very welcome, i cant recommend this venue enough. Top Marks.
