First time visiting this café, staff were very friendly. Kids also eat free which is really good.Only reason for the 4 star rather than five is the ventilation is very poor. The windows were all steamed up and was a bit smokey like the extractor wasn't working in the kitchen.

Thursday 5/3/24One of my friends, Genene chose to have lunch in this cafe today, which is reasonably priced & quite a number of folks were soon filling up the cafe. She recommends the Aussie breakfast & paid extra for the add on large onions ???I just opted for their quite thick ministrone soup & all the vegetables in it weren't hard & I appreciated that, it may taste a bit too strong for some but it was alright for me & it was delivered quite hot which was good & i didn't need to return it to get heated up, which happens in a few eateries.I also had a cheese ? & onion toastie as well & chose brown bread. The well toasted (non burnt) ? bread wasn't thin but quite thick & that fairly filled me up.The instant coffee was strong & i couldn't believe it 'cos it was tasteless & i'm sure it wasn't Nescafé - better using Aldi Alcafé Gold Roast - I find that's the nearest tasting to Nescafé. "I will return"

Very disappointed with service, loudly stating that someone (us) had sat at a table (no sign saying wait to be served or reserved sign on table, though one on table next to it). Server told us sharply that she needed table back by 1.40, no apology, no explanation. Then came back to state sharply that card machine was off and we had to pay by cash. Food arrived, freshly cooked and tasty, though when I was half way through a different server said could she take away our empty?? plates at the same time as lifting them and I had to grab my plate and state no, I’m still eating! No apology n made me feel as if I was in the wrong. Not a nice experience and I doubt I will go back if this is typical

My first visit to this cosy cafe today will definitely not be my last! Very friendly & attentive service, great cake and coffee, warm, comfy & relaxing atmosphere with quirky and amusing decor. Dog friendly as well, so next time, my wife and I will take wee cheeky face along for brunch or lunch. My new numero uno cafe in Falkirk!

We were staying in Falkirk for a few days and looked up The Fork & Mustard as a good place for breakfast. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the cafe was full. They did however point us in the direction of their sister cafe and we happily paid a visit. The food and service was exceptional. Really friendly staff, great service and a full Scottish that was something else. All the ingredients were there - link and Lorne sausage, bacon, haggis, Stornoway black pudding, tatty scone, eggs, beans etc and all cooked perfectly. We went back again the following day and tbf, if they had been open on Sundays, we would have gone a third time ! We would highly recommend this place for anyone stopping off in Falkirk.
