The menu has been changed, and they have taken off the Pate we would normally haveWe took a salmon dish instead....not the right choice for us .There is a new owner and it felt different, sadly i don't think we will be hurrying back .

Went here for the first time today with my other half. Was not disappointed. We had only intended to get coffee and cakes and ended up having lunch when we realised how good the food looked. More expensive than some places but you get what you pay for with decent portion sizes, value for money and excellent service. There are things on the menu with a price range to suit everyone We will definitely be back sometime.

My first visit here after recommendations from my daughter. Service was friendly and professional, food was absolutely delicious, beautiful setting. Will definitely be back.

Good coffee, and what a bonus that it's dog friendly in a section of it. Not cheap, but fair value for money in today's economic climate! Book a dog friendly table ahead of time if you're coming on a weekend.

Stylish modern cafe with a small indoor dog friendly area (think best to book for this bit), there is a large outdoor seating area where dogs are also welcome. Friendly and attentive staff, delicious food served on a very hot plate (always a good thing!) would definitely recommend. With the added benefit of taking a walk afterwards to burn off some calories!

Lovely new menu and friendly staff. A great place for a post walk bite & good facilities for the dogs tooWheelchair accessibility: My father in law is a wheelchair user and the outside terrace was perfect for us

Some say the Queen opened the cafe at the Falkirk wheel, few realise that the king goes to the Cafe at Canada Wood for soup of the day!

Tuesday lunch time in August. I went online and booked a table inside for me and my dog. After our nice walk through the woods I was ready to eat an hour earlier than planned but the staff assured me that it wasn’t a problem even though it seemed busy. I was given a table and the lovely staff made an indulgent fuss of my dog. A chose to wash away the dust of the walk with a bottle of Peroni and chose the meatballs as a starter and a nice potato and chorizo combination for a main course , both dishes tasty and the size of the portions were just right . Yes it was a bit of a holiday treat but the staff and the food were very pleasant and I give them top marks for efficiency and customer service. Highly recommended but I would make sure to book in advance as it’s not too big inside and the British summer limits the joys of eating outside.

Super cafe in the middle of nowhere (quite hard to access/find so drive slowly if following google maps) with lovely outdoor seating and excellent food for lunch. I had a wonderful salmon open sandwich. The £2.75 soup add-on is just enough. Lots of walking and cycling trails are nearby and end up here so there are often dogs and bikes.

This place is beautiful and the food and service was outstanding. Would definitely recommend!

Over multiple visits over the years, it appears the vibe and how welcome you are made, depends heavily on who's working. Recently made to feel like it would have been easier if we hadn't asked for lunch. Portion size seems to be smaller too?

Nice cafe. But expensive. Two salads, a glass of wine, one soft drink and a coffee......£40. Over priced for what we recieved.

Friendly and efficient staff. Had a lovely breakfast - Eggs Royale - with a side of avocado smash. Yum. Latte also very nice. Booked in advance so I knew I had a table, as it can be busy, and I was planning to cycle along. Not too far off the Union canal near Falkirk Wheel. Lovely location.

Arrived late lunchtime and it was busy. Our order was taken quickly but there was a wait for the food: however it was very very fresh and the Canada salad probably one of the best as it wasn’t bulked up with cheap salad leaves. We had to twice catch the wait staffs eye as it appeared we’d been overlooked for the drinks/cake menu and then taking payment..that said the staff were very polite & friendly.Definitely coming back with the dogs as it’s very dog friendlyWell worth the visit.
