“A real gem of a restaurant. Fantastic fresh food with generous portions at a reasonable price (four people, starters, mains and alcohol was under £150). Staff so welcoming and friendly. Lovely buzzy atmosphere. Well worth the short time queuing to get in!”

“Came for a Special Anniversary meal with friends, our first visit and we wasn't disappointed, great staff, very helpful and accommodating. Lovely food, being a vegetarian I had the Mediterranean Sandwich it was lovely, very tasty. Rustic inside and the views of the mountains what else could you want, will definitely come again. I would love it if they added more veggie options though ?”

“WOW. This is a cool place. With lots of vegan food, that is super tasty. And coffee and cakes to die for.
We took the soup (yumm), wrap (amazing), and chickpea curry. All full of flavors.
Staff is relaxed and super friendly. Atmosphere: fantastic. You just need to be lucky to find a space to sit.”

“Best steak I’ve had in years. Absolutely brilliant, and surprisingly great value for money. I’m traveling with my son and spent the last week being ripped off in London, and this has given me my faith back. Absolute gem of a place. Well done.”

“Has such a good meal here. We were looking for something in the area that had something other than the standard pub fare. I was a bit surprised when we pulled in and it was just a little spot attached to a small golf club house. Nothing fancy at all. But what it lacks in ambiance it makes up for with the food. My wife and I had the shepherds pie and it was so good. We would definitely go back if we are in the area again !”

“We popped in for early dinner. Very friendly staff greeted at the door. We were lucky to get a spot because it was busy. Good food at reasonable price. Lovely atmosphere. Perfect location in town centre. Very dog friendly!”

“As a regular at the tavern we return based on the good food and lovely service you receive every time we go . We recently had a booking for a birthday dinner for 40 people . I was expecting service to maybe be slightly slower with that amount of meals at one time and possibly the meals not to be as piping hot as usual but no ! The service was great as always and the meals were all delicious , served hot and quickly and also with some added extras on the table from Mikey the manager . We struggled to get anywhere to take this many people in the height of season but was no problem so ever to Mikey and his wonderful staff . Highly recommend”

“We didn’t do the West Highland Way hike but we still rewarded ourselves with the Nduja and Hot honey pizza and garlic pizza bread. Great atmosphere and delicious food. Nice beer menu too.”
