Visited Barrbridge yesterday afternoon for lunch and a few drinks. Nice cold Tennents lager on tap, very refreshing.Food - ordered sizzling Tandoori Chicken. Very tasty.Pricing was very competitive. Excellent customer service, very friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend to others.

We have used this place a few time but I was so disappointed the food was horrible my partner actually joked and said did the chef train in barlinnie. The staff was lovely you can't fault them.

Visited the hungry horse yesterday and had 2 fish for a tenner in their January deal. The fish was beautiful, chips were fresh and honestly think we’ll go again today for another one each!As always, the girls who were working were friendly and chatty, this really makes all the difference when you visit. If you haven’t been the the hungry horse before, I would really urge you to go down and try it soon.

We visit the Barrbridge every two weeks and we have never had a bad meal. The fish is delicious although I do like the burgers too. Here for breakfast just now and it’s just as good as the main menu. Not many of these types of places where you can get a square sausage and a potato scone. As always, the girls working and really friendly and we just love coming here.Keep up the good work!

Food was horrendous, over cooked! The steak knife would not even cut through the steak and the chicken strips were dripping in grease. The staff were very unprofessional, we could hear them shouting and swearing at each other in the kitchen and certainly will not be back or would recommend. McDonalds would have been a better option!

I went to the hungry horse with family and friends from abroad for a few drinks and food between Christmas and new year and I honestly couldn’t believe the service from this small pub. The bar man Martin could not have been more attentive and he really did make the night / experience very worth while he helped with drink selection food orders and couldn’t have been more helpful. His service was second to none and made everyone feel so welcome and really did go the extra mile with his customer care. I'd definitely return to this venue due to his service and the friendly atmosphere within the pub. 10/10 young Martin really did make our experience and we all left with a smile on our face due to his service throughout the evening.

Probably the worst service I’ve ever had. From the snottery nosed guy that kept wiping his nose on his hand taking our order to the bra-less girl dressed like a manager who was as course as can be and kept wiping tables onto the floor while loudly telling colleagues about the state of her private life. I’ve never seen such poorly trained front of house staff in my life. The fact they allowed several tables to have tablets and phones playing with volume up full doesn’t surprise me either, they probably think ambiance is a place in France. The food was never going to be worse than the service but boy did it give it a close run. Firstly my pint of fresh orange and lemonade was a 440ml glass, three quarters filled will orange and no lemonade. The Fentimans deluxe ginger beer was Schweppes. The upgraded salt & chilli chips had some form of curry powder on it for reasons unknown but it was neither salty nor contained chilli. The first burger had none of the promised side of gravy for dipping. No salad on the burger and two damp, limp onion rings accompanying the curry powder fries. The second burger did not have the promised chicken breasts, implying plural. Instead it had two slivers of heavily battered chicken, no slaw, no spicy herb garnish and no taste. January is a tough month for hospitality, I cannot understand why service this poor exists and the most basics on the menu cannot be adhered to. Also the full time I sat here there was spilled food at the kitchen exit, no manager or member of staff bother to clean it leaving a trip hazard for colleagues. Not surprising at all after the way customers are treated.

I was here with the kids for breakfast with Santa and it was fantastic. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and the food was great too . We will definitely be back.

We were early for a gig elsewhere in the leisure park, so we went here for coffee and also indulged in what turned out to be very large portions of chocolate fudge cake. We had no main course food but saw plenty being delivered to other tables. Portions in general are generous. The menu is huge offering , Scottish breakfast, burgers steak pie fish & chips Indian and italian choices, along with grills and steaks. There are great different daily deals,EG Twofers. Free starter Pudding on one day. Best of all is two sunday roast lunches for around £16. Staff were very attentive and friendly. This is part of the Hungry horse chain, so it would be easy to dismiss it as A N Other chain pub but that would be really unfair as its far superior to that. Perfect for family outings, celebrations couples in fact anyone looking for quality food at great prices.
