“Delicious and well prepared food.Plenty of decent options. Staff are very attentive and friendly. We were served by young Jenny and Harrison today - they were very caring with my elderly mum and nothing was too much trouble for them. Love the Sparrow- themed decor and opening French doors onto the street. Relaxing and cheerful atmosphere of a Sunday and good for late afternoon when most cafés are closing up and other restaurants aren’t open yet. Great wee bistro !”

“Booked in for the Tipsy Tapas, for £22 you get to pick two savoury tapas and a pudding and two cocktails. Food is freshly cooked and ample portions, drinks were good measures. Nina H the server is really nice and service was quick. Good choice of tapas options, great value and a relaxing atmosphere to catch up with friends.”

“This was my first time here. The food was great, the atmosphere was relaxed, all the staff were nice. Will be visiting again. We went for the 3 coarse lunch menu. With a couple of add on's prawn crackers and 2 egg fried rice to accompany our main dishes and 2 large wines we paid £84 for 2 people.”

“Vodka Wodka is an excellent pub on Ashton Lane. Great bar with lots of drinks availability and a huge cocktail selection too.Ample seating inside the front, even more behind and on a summers day in the HUGE beer garden, there is loads of outside seating and the DJ brings in a good crowd.Highly recommended”

“Great music, cheap drinks and the staff were great. Abbie, Forbes and Donald especially at the end of the night were great at putting up with that weird annoying drunk girl (defo wasn’t me) and Kokomo were quick and efficient in getting back to me when I had left my passport. Good wee night out especially students”
