I think Colpis have been a family favourite since childhood. We’re lucky enough to have 2 in MIlngavie. Always lovely staff and ofcourse my little one loves the ice cream which now comes in loads of different flavours. Plenty parking and outside seating for the warmer days. I would say it;s not the cheapest but worth it and just a tip to say you can get a baby cone from the smaller colpis directly across from the one which has outside seating. The cones are quite large and for the smaller kids a baby cone is definitely enough and half the price too.

To be honest, they have the best vanilla ice cream in the whole of Glasgow... unique texture and very vanilla flavoursome!Try the Oyster or double nougat... yummy!! ???

That's a picture of a 3 scoop with some out of it already as he couldn't wait. I grew up having the original as a treat occasionally. First time I've been back to Milngavie in years so I decided to take my Spanish boyfriend to try some of their new flavours. We had turkish delight, raspberry Ferrero & white chocolate something to share. The raspberry Ferrero has a lovely intense raspberry flavour. Loved the Turkish delight too. Next time I'll need to take him for an original oyster. Lovely to see a local company still doing well & expanding. ???????????????????????????

The ice cream may be good but they don’t cater for allergies. What a waste of talent to not be able to reach a wider customer base. A good artisan would love for their customers (even with allergies) to enjoy their creation. I unfortunately didn’t get this feel from Colpi’s when I reached out regarding my son’s nut allergy. I was politely asked to take my custom elsewhere. I really wish they could do more,they are a local business that I would love to support and take my family and friends to, but after the response I received I don’t think that will happen. Hope the owners can rethink a few minor details. Look forward to new policies being put in place for allergy sufferers.Edited following owners answer: to answer to your comment, the fact remains that you do not cater to allergies on a regular basis as you will need to create a nut free cabinet on request. I will need to inform you in advance of my visit each time. This is not the case with other ice cream places. Even the famous Janetta’s in St Andrews has walk-in options available for nut allergy sufferers. I try to voice the concerns of parents with children with allergies, I hope you can be a bit more responsive than your earlier response. I did write the following as a reply to your offer to a nut free cabinet:“Thanks, yes we know about the colpi’s accross from you too. We are local and come to the center frequently. I will make a point to visit this week, Tuesday or Wednesday. My son is allergic to peanuts and he love’s flavours so he would love to try something that is unique (as your flavours are) and free of peanuts. Thank you?”I can read both a thanks and yes we would love to come but as soon as I mentioned ‘loop and scoop cater to allergies’ your tone changed and became very rude. You then asked me to take my custom elsewhere. Your comment below is completely incorrect. Maybe being a little nice wont hurt you!!!

Stopped by today for a couple of ice creams - first visit here in a long time - the ice cream just as good as I remember, absolutely delicious, top marks.
