The steak I got was very tough & dry my friend got roast beef & had to ask for a steak knife to cut it it looked like it was carved with a hacksaw it was inedible we will never return the wait was terrible waited 25mins for main after we'd had enough after 20mns had to ask staff to remove plates asked for our bill that was another 20mns wait definitely wouldn't recommend or return a very disappointing visit

The old plane tree is my local ,as I live in the village The staff are all lovely always so friendly and attentive Anne especially as an onlooker I can see Anne is a very experienced Staff member I would also consider her valued team member.She is wonderful at her job ,works tirelessly ,always busy such a nice lady , Always smiling .

On each visit to the Old Plane Tree, Anne is always smiling, genuinely happy to welcome you, and can't do enough for you, ensuring your visit is so enjoyable! All the staff are brilliant, and with it being dog friendly, this is an extra bonus! The food and drinks are competitive and introducing the TV, darts pool table, and events, this wee pub/restaurant is the best around. We'll done Anne and team ! X

Staff don’t bother to answer the phone to you. I had phoned over 2 times and they had picked up one time and had just sat the phone down and continued whatever they were doing. I’m totally disgusted with this service.
