Such a brilliant lunch spot, each time we’ve been the food has been amazing, always difficult to choose what to have as everything on the menu sounds delicious. The owners are friendly, the food is hearty and homemade. So lucky to have this on our doorstep!

Lovely local cafe. Everything is homemade, fresh and absolutely delicious. The sandwiches are simply to die for and the cakes so yummy! Their evening events are so cozy and we are so happy to have them in the neighbourhood. Lovely people too which makes all the difference. Only wish I could eat there every day!

I first visited Soups On years ago and have been hooked on their cakes ever since. So much so, that this last June my partner surprised me with a birthday cake made here, and it was 10/10 everything I could have asked for.

First visit with my daughter and hubbie. Delicious soup and sandwich. My husband had the mac and bolognese, my daughter loved her soup and sandwich also. Staff lovely and friendly and catered for whatever we asked for. Definitely worth a visit. Thanks for a lovely lunch.

Great place, the food was delicious. It's fairly small but we still managed to get a seat at lunchtime. Christmas options on that day were great, as was the soup.

A wee gem of a place that I highly recommend. Have been at least 4 times in the last 6 months and we’ve been delighted every time. The menu is small and varied with a great range and regular changes to keep us coming back for more. Go for the pasta filled toasties, stay for the delicious cakes and enjoy the always welcoming service!Parking: Meter parking out front which is free on Sundays, and plenty of free street parking round and about

Been going to Soups On and the Cake Lady since I started your review journey on here years back. Gosh been that long! Consistently great tasty food that hits the mark every time which my wife and I greatly enjoyed over the years. Currently an infrequent take-away customer due to change in circumstance. But may return as a sit in customer (again) some day as I miss the coleslaw. Cafe is run by 2 genuinely nice people. And their late ginger addition ;)

I've been twice now to eat in this cafe and had a lovely meal and brilliant service both times. For our lunchtime visit we each got the soup and sandwich deal and loved every bite. The tomato and red pepper soup was delicious - I usually avoid tomato soup in cafes as it's hard to get right, but this was spot on. The veggie christmas lunch sandwich is incredible! And my friend loved her Mexican sandwich with crunchy nachos inside. There was no room for cake so we took pieces home, delicious. Previously we went for the pop-up evening meal and had a fantastic evening, huge portions of delicious home-made food. It's a cosy homely cafe in a really handy spot in Cathcart, near the train station and on the way to the Couper Institute, library, independent shops and Linn park and Holmwood House.

My husband & I had a truly gastronomic experience here today. The mains, cake and coffee exceeded our expectations. We were welcomed by Pete & Anne to our table in their very relaxed cafe setting. The decor is just perfect,as was everything from the moment we stepped inside. This was our first visit and certainly won’t be our last. Thank you Pete & Anne for all your dedication to your amazing cafe.
