Oh dear- it was not good. Have been before but last 2 times it was poor. Won’t be back, sorry. The seating is stained and this is really off putting. I had a tasteless toastie with slimy cheese, slimy ham and slimy coleslaw. Not sure if there’s a new chef? There were no seats and a queue at greggs next door and diner was empty ?♀️

Visited as a couple in late November '23. Groupon deal, consequently this was good value for money overall, freshly cooked burgers and chips. followed by a desert. lots of bad previous reviews mention the 3 x cucumbers & poor quality coleslaw - i have to agree.and I'm surprised this hasn't been removed or changed from the menu offering. Can't fault the quick freiendly service though, and fast delivery of our menu choices. Overall. good value for the Groupon - not sure I'd be happy to pay the full whack though.

I live locally and had been meaning to try the place for a while and decided to go with a friend for lunch. Genuinely really surprised at the negative reviews as everything was cooked fresh, we both tried the burgers and waffles. The portions were huge and tasted delicious. The draft drinks at £2.99 were refillable. You don’t see that often. We couldn’t finish our waffles and ended up having to take them home with us. Only negative thing about the meal was the quality of the coleslaw was not of the highest quality I’ve tried otherwise everything else was lovely. I would definitely return and try some of their other offerings. Clearly popular as the place was kept busy with people also popping in for take aways.

Surprised this place is still operating the cheapest of ingredients burger tasted like paste, toastie was greasy and tasted of grease with the thinnest bread ever, chips cold, menu said homemade coleslaw was definitely not, soup tasted like cheap tinned tomato Juice tasted like cheap fraught juice

I’m a bit shocked at the negative views . Iv visited it a couple of times with friend and think it’s a great place . Staff have been lovely . The steak I had for brunch was delicious . Red velvet cake my friend ordered was delicious I’m looking forward to going back with Mj family . My brother often buys a carry out from there too
This is not a criticism of the staff who were clearly run off their feet but the absentee owner/management team. Firstly, a promise to clean a dirty table which never materialised. An inordinate time to take an order, shared with other fidgety diners. When the very very simple order arrived having to ask for cutlery. Despite some of the food being hand held no napkins provided. Despite it being lunchtime observing one of the few staff having to nip down to ASDA to buy red onions. As I said to what I took to be the head server- if all this ocurrs in the public gaze, I wonder what goes on behind the scenes. I hope someone from ERC Environmental Services are reading this. If this is meant to be taste of an American dining experience I hope Uncle Sam sues you.

We had fish and chips with bread and butter which was great.We also had coffee.Mum had a waffle and fruit which was expensive but massive but a bit soggy and tea.The staff were very helpful and pleasant and we would return.Not busy so no real atmosphere but not bothered about this.

Delivery took forever. Food arrived lukewarm. Biggest issue was just eat delivery. Pizza delivered on its side with toppings on the side of the box. Guess it’s build your own pizza. The Diner blames just eat and said I need to apply to them as it’s not their fault. They use them for deliveries so as far as I am concerned they are responsible.Have ordered 3 times with various issues but keep thinking will be ok next time.Learned lesson avoid delivery by just eat.

Waited 25min for a roll and bacon with only 4 ppl at other tables that had already been served no napkins when I asked the waitress rolled her eyes and came over and stuffed them in the tin with the cutlery : it would have been polite to have handed one to me : then omg ? cheep tomato sauce ? ::: bring your own Heinz tomato sauce::: then went to pay asked for the bill there it’s there the waitress said omg think she got out of bed the wrong way before I left I told her to read the reviews so if you read this please please smile at your customers and don’t roll your eyes when something that we ask for is not on the table …… I would have left a tip but not attitude like that shocking for a young woman if you don’t like the job look for something else
