We had 2 evening meals here. My husband and I found the customer service exceptional. It is a long time since we have had staff in a restaurant so pleasant, accommodating and well trained. They are a credit to Beefeater. The food was really good too - obviously very hot and well cooked. Rib eye steak with triple fried chips - scrumptious! Very short waiting time too. Well done all of you! Very happy customers!

Unfortunately our Xmas Dinner was a shambles they got the starters wrong then the lassie git a wee bit cheeky and told us that's what you ordered...It turns out they had sat us at someone else's table therefore were trying to give us that groups meal Finnally got our correct starters then waited around 1.10mins for our mains which they had to retake that order because of the mix up...My Salmon was overdone burnt and dry and the puff pastry was flat and pathetic not quite what I was expecting-Then they had to retake our dessert order and told my parents they had ran out of Xmas pudding only then to be told by another staff member they had binned the last of them thinking they were not needed....Very costly meal and wished I had stayed at home and cooked for myself...Felt sorry for some if the staff difficult job in difficult circumstances but certain issues could have been avoided.

We got served quickly and got our starters within 10 minutes. They asked us when we were ready for our mains. The girl who served us was lovely. She was so pleasant. The food was amazing! They had a good selection of beers that my husband loved! Great food, great beer choice!

Had a nice day out for lunch, staff was nice and polite. Tried the christmas menu (cheese fondue then festive chicken burger) Fondue was great! There was a lot of it, good to warm up after getting in from the cold. Chicken burger was a regular chicken burger, just with cranberry sauce & a pig in blanket (bacon wrappef sausage). It was nice anyhow. Shoutout to Mo, lovely member of staff ? Kept the wee souvinuer paper straw as well Overall very cosy and good to get out the cold on a wintry afternoon

Unsure why this place takes #1 slot for dining out in Milngavie. It's no more than OK. Could do better with visual presentation, crispy button mushrooms starters were like mini cannonballs and inside, wet mushroom in a pool of liquid. Steak was lovely, if a little uninspiring looking, fish and chips and burger fine. But overpriced unless you've got vouchers. Clearly understaffed when we visited, drinks order and meals took ages to fulfil, though the lovely Debbie and colleagues couldn't have been more helpful, friendly and apologetic. Great wait staff let down by, well, everything else. Can get better cooking and quicker meals elsewhere eg Andiamo, Garvie's and Finsbay. The Torrance Inn is a great alternative too. Stop taking customers for granted, Whitbread.
Opted to get dinner here one evening whilst staying at the premier Inn, mainly because we were too tired to go anywhere else. Eating out can often be a challenge with two children under 5 but not here. The food was excellent and our server, Mo, kept us well informed as to menu choices and the current speed of the kitchen. She brought things over to entertain the children and chatted to us about our stay in Glasgow, generally making us feel very welcome. We had a lovely meal which we found to be very good value and our 5 year old cleaned her plate, practically unheard of. In fact we enjoyed it so much we ate there again the next night. Can't praise Mo highly enough.
