Was in today 27th March 2024 for lunch, had fish and chips but there was already salt on my fish and chips , I don’t take a lot of salt and would very much appreciate if the chef would not put salt on my plate . I did say to one waitress about this and she said something about getting the chef to listen too them . Dear chef whatever your name how would you like it if I put sugar in your tea and you like sugar. The service was very good , hope someone has words with the chef .Food & drinks: Tell chef not to put salt on food

Myself and girlfriend recently experienced every tourist's worst nightmare.Arriving at a hotel booked well in advance and they have no indication of your booking.Spending the first several hours of our holiday negotiating with them just to have our initial deal honoured was not excellent. They managed to put us in a "superior" hotel. What they meant was larger. The second hotel was off a roundabout near an A road and out of town.We checked out of the second hotel a day early. It just wasn't the atmosphere we were planning when we booked. We came from Glasgow, but imagine flying from Italy or France to stay in a Scottish hotel, they have no recollection of your booking despite an email thread with them and they place you in a worse spot.

My husband liked his meal ,but I'm afraid I can't say the same thing! I am careful about what I eat as I'm on a strict diet ,it was an anniversary gift voucher and because I had recently had a heart precedure we hadn't been able to use it , didn't realise it was only to be used within 6 months! I ordered steak but without the usual accompanying sides,I said vegetables and a small salad .when it arrived I tried the salad it tasted stale ,the carrot was nice but the broccoli was totally raw .All I really ate was a steak and a small carrot ,and a small cola.my husband ate all his Mac& cheese, also drunk his cola .The voucher was for £30 and he put money towards it .His meal was around £15-50 or thereabouts,so really they charged full price for mine £26.50 or thereabouts.server did ask if meal was ok and I told her about the veg,she just said I will let the chef know .wasn't impressed at all!!

Me and my family came in for a night as we were driving late and we decided to check in. As we were walking in all staff was lovely except there was a man by the name of “Scottish Declan?” (We were told the name by customers there before us) who chased my daughter around on his mobility scooter screaming “Hoya?” My daughter is now thoroughly traumatised and says cries in her sleep. This incident has left my family in shambles. However the meals were nice and even tho the fat man by the name of “Scottish Declan” tried ram into our table with his scooter and had to be escorted out by 3 men. We still managed to have a great time. Even tho we were living in fear during those moment

Everything was perfect. Service was top notch! Only downside was this rotund being named Scottish Declan waddling around making tik toks. That thing was so annoying!!

A CHristmas do. Arrived 12.30.We were served at 1.30A lady next to me was served and finished her lukewarm meal before our food arrived. Similar scenes were repeated across the several tables. Our food was cold, the plates were cold. The room was cold and along with others we had to put coats and scarves on.There was no water on the table. No glasses.Nobody enquired if we as older customers might need water. For a Turkey Lunch it’s pretty standard fare to have cranberry and bread sauce on the table. Non evident and none offered. We were asked if we enjoyed the food.We didn’t along with many but are of an age not to say ‘no, it was awful’. After all its not the hard pressed waiters responsible for the cold food and erratic service.I even wondered if Ramsay had been in, given up and fled,For £22 a head this was a rip off, never to be repeated.Disappointing as we’ve had breakfast, bar lunch and afternoon wakes here all to excellent standard,This however felt like old folk rip off.Eating out. Is a treat. This was purgatory.. One of the seven on our table did enjoy it. The rest felt the same as us as did others in the room. I’m not going to lie just for the goodwill of a group committee member.A general view is that the success of an event like this is down to the caterers rather than the organisation booking the event. The latter did their bit and the company was good and made up for an otherwise lack lustre gastronomic episode.Got home tired cold and very hungryFood & drinks: See above.
