Very cosy atmosphere and Landlord made us feel at home right away. Even met Robert one of the friendly locals who arrived right on cue to sit on his usual seat at the end o he bar. Loved this experience and their wee stories !

In Gretna green for my sisters wedding 12 of us visited the queenshead tonight great atmosphere bar staff said we could order from local takeaway doggies weren’t left out as biscuits behind the bar. Locals made us feel really welcome. We will b back for sure.

Was told it was animal friendly and went all the way there and feel like I was rudely treated and it looked very clicky no outsiders welcome type of place so possibly a bullet dodged as I left without a pint I'd travelled along way to get.

Visit the local with a wedding party of 10, owner was excellent allowed us to order in food. Offered even to put on some food the next night, thank you to the Queens Head and the locals of Gretna! ??

If you want to meet friendly locals, hear interesting stories, have a nice ale and get that "Welcome to Scotland"-feeling: Go there.

Very friendly pub and the only one in the area that sells real ale. We just popped in while staying nearby and it was worth the 20 minute walk. Pool table, great jukebox and friendly locals. No food but they are happy for you to have a takeaway delivered.
