((JEWEL IN THE CROWN)) went in day before wedding was greeted by landlord very friendly so were other customers very welcoming and went back in after we got married at gretna green blacksmiths was only going to av a few but stayed till closing. We had a magical day getting married and a magical evening at QUEENS HEAD..... thank you all

Lovely pub full of friendly staff and locals. Decent beers and cheap as you like, popped in the night before tying the knot and had a great evening - very generous hosts, someone shouted us drinks and there were free hotdogs put on for everyone (probably for the darts competition, but we were encouraged to get stuck in). Brilliant pub!

Very friendly landlord with a warm welcome. 1 regular real ale pump kept in very good condition. Nice atmosphere with the locals.

Dropped in for a few pints while passing through. Landlord was a top man — had a solid chat about all sorts, really sound geezer. Other punters were friendly too. Cracking little boozer, well worth a visit.
