Great homemade food with generous portions. Ask for a half portion if you're not a big eater.

Amazing steaks! Melting in the mouth... Was visiting Scotland as a tourist.

We had lunch here in the lovely town of Gullane. We chose the small bite lunch. My husband had the haggis and said it was lovely, generous portion considering we had chosen the lighter meals. I had the burger and it came with side salad and chips. Very nice meal. The service is excellent and restaurant has a lovely decor and atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

Visited for the second time. This time we made a considerable trip from Aberdeen, on our way to London, to have our GF fish&chips. The soups and mains were delicious but, please, bring tiramisu back to the menu ?

Boxing Day It’s a good place with a friendly atmosphere. I asked my guests how their food was and was informed that the fish was dry and the batter too thick. Beef burghers were dry. As a lifelong habit I leave a 10% tip in cash under a plate where a waiter can find it after one has left. I never tip if invited to do so on a card machine and do not leave cash in such circumstances. Invitations to tip are bad mannered and a deterrent to returning.

Used to be a favourite of ours. We eat here 4/6 times a month. New staff have the ‘upselling’ approach. Get drink orders in within 5 mins and then leave alone. We recently dropped in for lunch and were told that no tables were available but two high bar stools. The restaurant was almost empty and loads of tables were still unoccupied when we left. We were there again today as part of a family group. Drinks served within minutes, but we had to find someone to take our order after 25 mins. Has it changed owners? A very marked difference. Most upsetting was listening to a very elderly couple at the table next to us complain that their bread was hard. The waiter’s only response was ‘it’s sourdough, it’s meant meant to be hard’ it would have taken so little effort to make their experience better.

This is a lovely place to eat had a great light lunch of homemade soup with tasty bead and butter. Only thing lacking is the seating the old simulated leather chairs are seriously done. The bits of shredded leather covering is literally disintegrating desperately need to refurb

First visit last Thursday and was excellent. Nice welcoming staff and food and service were very good. An old styled restaurant with loads of artefacts and stuffed animals which is very quaint. Toilet like something from the starship enterprise though ? Will be back next year

We turned up in this restaurant without any reservations but the staff were very helpful and gave us a table. The food was great. The prices were fair. I can highly recommend this place. We will definitely come back again.

We first walked into The Old Clubhouse in February and since then it has become our local. Absolutely love the food served, always fresh and tasty and never changes you get what you order. Have a pint or even a half pint if you not up to a whole pint. Staff are just wonderful and have become a second family to us. The Loaded Nachos is a delight but do so recommend you come hungry as it’s a super large portion and more than filling. Fish and Chips (Large or Small portion) and the Angus Burger (always add the cheese & bacon) and chips are a treat which must not be missed. The fireplace in winter is a warmer for all and just adds to the already warm atmosphere of all who wander on in. The bar is Not a stand up bar so note you will have to be seated to order a drink or two. I would highly recommend booking in advance.
