Came here for a sandwich and cake. Bread was mouldy and the sponge cake was clearly shop bought (probably Co op own brand) deserves third place on “Come dine with me” owner seemed unwelcoming when we arrived, was very mean to her staff. Don’t waste your money going here, would not recommend.

Brought my 93 year old Gran through to Helensburgh for her birthday after she’d been stuck in the house for 4 months due to lockdown. We got afternoon tea and even though restrictions meant it was takeaway, the staff went above and beyond in giving us an amazing selection of sandwiches, delicious quiche, and a huge selection of cakes, tablet, scones and meringues. Worth every penny, and made her day special. Thanks so much.

If you have a wheat gluten or dairy or diabetic diagnoses this coffee shop won't cater for such punter. Beware to not ask as it's not on the menu at all..

Thank you to all the team for a fantastic afternoon tea. After being let down by a hotel that I won't name, the Craigard pulled out all the stops and delivered to my door the most delicious afternoon tea. It was beautifully presented and consisted of two rounds of sandwiches, two generous slices of homemade quiche, homemade coleslaw and a lovely side salad. Then on to the cakes, all home baked, and two each of enormous cream filled meringues, fruit loaf, caramel shortbread, scones with butter and jam and a couple of crunchy biscuits. There were two fancy tea bags and two large pieces of tablet. We are still eating our way through the baking and the beauty of having it delivered is you can really take your time eating it and savouring every mouthful, we could not fault it in any way. We will definitely be doing this again, so our thanks once again to all of you for your help and for providing this beautiful gift it really made my husband's birthday.

Stumbled upon this tea room whilst looking for a warm up after a blustery stroll on the Sea front at Helensburgh. There was a very large and varied menu. I think even the fussiest of customers would struggle to find something to their taste, and the display of cakes, scones , pies and meringues looked fabulous. Both my husband and I chose the tomato and roasted red pepper soup to warm us up and were very impressed with our choice! Amazing homemade soup in huge portions with lovely crusty bread cream and croutons . Divine. Staff however weren’t over friendly and stayed at the back in the kitchen area most of the time we were there. Also weren’t in a rush to clear tables. Would definitely return though and try the yummy looking baked goods

Delicious cakes, but thought the rolls could have been better than supermarket rolls(?)./just my opinion

I'm not into Indian food and don't do hot spicy although my other half loves it. So its always an issue for me finding something that I'm actually going to enjoy. I have never seen a waiter\owner? so enthusiastic about his food. He described how his food was made and even brought a sample of sauce for my partner to taste prior to ordering. He was exceedingly helpful to me in making my choice of not hot. When we couldn't eat another thing, he happily brought us containers for out leftovers. During our meal, I noticed the same enthusiasm at other tables and even as he helped someone choose a lager! Shame there aren't more like him.

Beautiful interior, amazing food and service, and the lady who runs it is an absolute pillar of the local community. Definitely check this place out!

Me, my wife and 2 young children were turned away as we only wanted coffee, juice and cakes. With attitude the lady told us quite rudely that unless we were buying food we would have to leave. Our kids got upset as we had stood and let them choose a cake each, not that it bothered the heartless owner. To add insult we had stood patiently for 5 minutes in the cramped cafe waiting for them to half heartedly and slowly clear 4 tables. You'd think they would focus on one to clear it quickly but no.

Was in helensburghfor a visit and decided we would visit the nice tearoom that we went too last time we were there. Arrived at 3.30 to be told by a man we only serving teas and coffees. We said that’s fine. Then teenager sitting at table said actually we are closed. Opening times on door doesn’t say closed at 3.30 on a Saturday. Looked elsewhere and found another lovely tearoom. You don’t deserve business with that attitude

We were in this restaurant today, to have a relaxed meal. My wife ordered Fish & Chips from "specials" board and I asked for macaroni with salad from menu, with a side order of chips, I was told that there was also a Mediterranean pasta on offer although not listed anywhere. So I opted for this and we both had tea. Everything was fine until we went to pay the bill and it was well over what we had expected. My wife went back to check on the prices and both the owner and the woman serving were not happy at being challenged. I also went back and challenged the bill and again I was not happy with the attitude of both of them. The "Specials" on the Board were not prices and I was never advised on the Pasta but had assumed it was the same price as the macaroni, £6.95, given I was not advise of any additional cost. On this site the price range is £3-8, but a small portion of fish & chips were £12.95, well overpriced. the pasta was £8.95, £2 more than the macaroni I had originally ordered. If we had known these priced before hand we would not have ordered them. Legally they must make clear, or show prominently, the food prices, any minimum charge or service charge. If these charges and prices, aren’t there or on your menu and you were not otherwise told, you can refuse to pay, so they are breaking the trading standards. Despite the prices for the "Specials" not being displayed or advised, I would not refuse to pay but, with a very poor attitude towards their customers, and overpriced food, I certainly will not be back, or recommend this establishment to anyone.
