Knowing there is somewhere I can get good food and a drink on the A9. Lovely atmosphere and great staffParking: Plenty of parking and being able to park near the entrance for disabled drivers

I decided to do a massive road trip to John O Groats from Perth and found this lovely cafe on the way. I really enjoyed the place. Had a fantastic sandwich and coffee (plus sneaky cake). The staff were great and sitting outside to eat was nice. I love discovering places like this and look out for them. This is a great place.

I can't praise this place highly enough. Campervan broken down, trudging the road in the cold with my little boy on our Lands End to John O'groats walk while his dad waited with our support vehicle to see if she could be fixed or towed, gloomy and tired, we turned in for food and got much more. The woodstove was cheery, staff and customers were kind, the food was delicious....I only wished I had more than my 'emergency £20' to spend and a way to carry things, as the gift section was full of lovely things too. It was a bad day when we walked in and we walked out a whole lot happier! And Charlie enjoyed his chocolate lolly too. XBtw we made it to John O'groats, mostly continuing along the road, but we did enjoy the cliff from Dunbeath to Niandt - and it was pretty tricky in places. Thanks

The best.

Lovely place and lovely staff. Best soup in the world! Mushroom soup was beautifully fresh and clearly home made. They should really have served it with a knife and fork rather than a spoon! It was excellent, and it came with a nice thick slice of freshly baked bread. Gorgeous!

Worth every minute of our 1 hour drive to enjoy the great food, amazing bakes & wonderful coffee. Staff & owner work so hard and are SO welcoming. Absolutely refreshing to have the consistently high standards.

Been a while, but this gem just gets better & better. Worth the hour drive for good food, great bakes, excellent coffee & amazing service. Many other establishments could learn a thing or two! Well done to owner & staff!!

We live 30 minutes south of this magical cafe and shop. We have known about it for a while, but recently two different friends recommended it and 'Goodness' - why have we waited so long to visit? As you walk in it is like a Christmas shop with tables and chairs and a wonderfully displayed counter where the three serving staff stand. We were lucky enough to meet the boss Fiona who came and had a chat with us - a charming lady. All the staff were delightful, but Paula was very friendly and after our meal, she took time to explain a little of the history of the old Laundry next door. We were so impressed with the Cafe that we asked Paula if we always needed to book in the Winter. Paula was kind enough to look up some dates that hadn't been booked around lunchtime and we came home and booked lunch in early December. It is recommended that you book to avoid disappointment.

Wonderful cafe, absolutely delicious food, generous portions, fabulous range of cakes and cheesecakes. Goats cheese salad and salmon salads both just wonderful. Really friendly service. Can't recommend highly enough. Wish we lived closer as would definitely return. Oh and they also do a lovely range of gifts.

On our journey to Inverness, we had the opportunity to visit the charming River Botha. It was a delightful coffee shop where we could bask in the picturesque scenery on a sunny day (we were fortunate indeed). The team at the coffee shop was exceptionally friendly, and we were thoroughly impressed by the quality of their coffee and desserts. The hotel, where the restrooms are located, is just a short three-minute walk away. If you find yourself driving through this region of Scotland, a visit to this coffee shop is an absolute must.
