On a rainy night our first fish supper in a couple of years and not disappointed. Asked for crispy chips and they were and the fish was tender and batter crispy. Could perhaps be crispier but both tasty. Would go back. Thanks! Enjoyed in front of the fire on a dreich night ?

Okay but not amazing fish and chips. I would go again but wouldn't go out of my way to get a fish and chips here. Also it is cash only. There is a bank machine about 50m up the street but it does charge for withdrawals.

Fantastic fresh cooked food. The fish was really tasty with a crispy batter. The calzone was fresh and really hot.

In July 1999 I was new to Innerleithan and I ordered fish and chips in the said shop which were cooking in a fryer. A local person came into the shop and I was a told that he (the new arrival) would be sold my fish and chips because he's a local. I would have to wait. I didn't make a second visit but the fish and chip shop in Peebles has benefited from two years of my business plus future purchases.I don't even want to guess what's going on in this sort of thinking unless the server has lost the ability of the consequence in a of lost profits. Of course he could also be an eccentric millionaire!!!
