This is a small and familiar restaurant located in Innerleithen. The menu is not too extended but what they have is really good. The staff is friendly, great location, the portions a little small but the prices affordable.

Had cakes and coffees, and sausages for the dog. The quality of the food and drink was faultless and the friendly and helpful service matched it. Well done.

Fantastic little spot. Has a wealth of gluten free and healthy options. Service is great and friendly. Love spending a Saturday lunch here with a good coffee and nibble.

Really friendly staff and the brownie was amazing! Will definitely be back again.

Busy cafe and the food was ok. However we witnessed a rather unpleasant interaction of staff with a customer which was totally uncalled for. Two "older" ladies were meeting, one arrived before the other and had a coffee. When her friend arrived they moved to a table beside us and the coffee was spilled. The lady rushed to the kitchen, apologised and offered to clean the spillage. The reaction of the female member of staff was not what one would have wished, she was obviously annoyed and made no effort to be pleasant and make the ladies feel at ease. She made them move to another table despite them asking to remain where they were as the table was more comfortable for them. No-one in the cafe was left unaware and we were told to be careful of the wet floor. My little girl even said - ladies very sad Mummy. This was our first and last visit.

This place is a little gem. Friendly staff, great food and service. Dog and bike friendly (bike loops on the wall outside and they even have bike locks you can use - first class).

Will not be going back! After giving our order our coffees arrived quickly which were welcome on a cold day but had to remain in our coats for duration! Only one other table in before us at the time that had ordered food which we saw being served and another customer after that who ordered a scone so why we waited a further 30 minutes for two basic paninis is unacceptable. In that time a member of staff took her break and was even fed!!! On arriving it was lukewarm, served on a saucer it was that small, with little filling for the price and no side garnish whatsoever! Very disappointing and over rated.

Had to queue to get a menu as there were none on the tables. No one came to take an order, so queued again. Ordered two soups and a glass of water. The water and cutlery arrived 10 minutes later. After another 30 minutes the soups finally arrived! Unfortunately they were inedable as they were barley luke warm. We queued again to complain - only to be met with a less than adequate apology and an reluctant offer to heat them up, which we declined. We had wasted enough time already. The cafe was not particularly busy, service overall was very slow and amateurish. We left without partaking of the soups.

A warm, delicious haven on a cold, rainy day. A local suggested this to us. We both had piping hot paninis and some soup. So good! Lots of locals in and out, plus some well behaved dogs.

Dog friendly but not people friendly! Won't be returning again Very bad experiences. Tried several times now.

Visited at the beginning of July, every dish the 4 of us ordered looked great and was delicious. Highly recommended.

After a 3 1/2 hour drive, totalling almost 200 miles, this was a most welcome stop. The awning above says it is also known as ‘The Whistle Stop Cafe’, although this is from a previous incarnation, and no, they don’t serve fried green tomatoes, or barbecue! (Film buffs will know what I’m talking about.) Louloubelle’s is owner-led and managed, and they do a really good job. We had the Meaty Brunch, consisting of bacon, sausage, fried egg, Louloubelle’s Spicy Beans, and haggis, served on homemade flat bread. Very tasty, and so filling that we had to bring home the tasty cakes we took a fancy to. All the cakes and pastries are freshly baked daily, and the pastry is the lightest and tastiest ever. Thank you Louloubelle’s. When we are next up your way, you will get another visit - and this time my husband will remember to have cash on him for the tip!!

Nice choice of food and cakes, great customer service. Had mushroom bagel and pancakes, big portions so we had to get cakes to go :)
