Just had a fantastic 6 course taster menu from the Montgomerie based around the 6 nations rugby , food was amazing , incredible tastes and it looked wonderful , service was quick and professional, the chef came to the table and explained every course .We will be back for an evening meal as this was an excellent first meal at the Montgomerie

Just came home from having such a lovely mother’s day meal, All the staff were very welcoming and making sure our meals were fine and very attentive to our needs. Compliments to the chef as his food is outstanding. Totally recommend for a lovely meal.

We were asked if we had a reservation despite only one table being set up...for us. No other tables appeared despite it being the busy pre- Christmas season. Whilst portions were generous, food was of a very poor quality. All frozen and then over cooked/fried. Steak was extremely disappointing....thin and gristley. It was dire. Had never heard of this restaurant before...now I know why. Avoid!!

First visit - a wet Wednesday with the course closed due to weather - so probably quieter than usual. Craig and his staff were very attentive - we chose two of the specials - and they were tasty and enjoyable. My pulled pork sub was very filling. A pleasant surprise was the zero alcohol lager that was on draft. As a driver I usually hate the bottled available at most places - but this was very flavoursome - and would drink in preference to many regular draft lagers. Good value considering the quality of food and setting.

Am afraid food was not good. Very easy chicken fillets. Which were greasy and overcooked. Husbands fish was same very thick greasy batter. Cold and crunchy potatoes

Used restaurant before monthly with club meeting there this time enquired why food was taking so long 1 hr wait not busy at all other tables being served before us that ordered after us ? Most of us had soup and sandwich choice 3 others had different dishes our food did arrive after a further 5/10 mins followed by restaurant manager few minutes later asking if everything was ok . Our reply was food is fine service , but service is not we were promptly told that some of us had starters which we definitely did not and each time we come here there is trouble ??? We were then told just don’t bother coming back !!! To say we were all 9 of us shocked at the reply he then turned around and walked away leaving us to ponder his reply . Even on paying our bills at the bar there was no explanation for his reply he never said a word not the way I would say customers should be treated hence we will never be back !!!
This is the first time I have been here and was very impressed with the place. Nice clean, spacious restaurant with nice views over the golf course. Excellent menu and food was well presented and tasted delicious. Staff friendly an attentive.

This is the first time I have been here and was very impressed with the place. Nice clean, spacious restaurant with nice views over the golf course. Excellent menu and food was well presented and tasted delicious. Staff friendly an attentive.
