i thought it said dancing midgeT so i was a wee bit disappointed at the lack of any tasteless cabaret show ( you never know in Millport) .... . Decent fry-up none the less... .. .

Brilliant, come over from paisley just to come here. You must try the scones with jam and clotted cream . Can't say enough about this wee place. Owner always very happy to help you.

Been here many times and never had any complaints. The food is locally sourced and absolutely delicious. Nothing is ever too much trouble.

A quick pop in this morning for a breakfast, fast and friendly service. Full Scottish breakfast was amazing, the haggis is the best I've had and everything else was really very tasty. My wife had the French toast and crispy bacon and we shared a pot of tea. Sorry, I only have the one photo, I was too busy tucking into mine ?

Lovely cafe, with excellent food at sensible prices for decent portions! The lorne, black pudding & haggis all cone from The Arran Butcher and were so good. Highly recommend!

Great spot for a cuppa and light lunch. We popped in on Sunday and watched the weather change about four times, outside. Such is the weather in Scotland! I liked the white decor. Lovely staff and owner. They were quick and genuine and answered all our guests questions. Great chat; great fun. Nice selection of things to eat. Not expensive. We'll be back, very soon.

Excellent cafe that is dog friendly, with welcoming staff and located just across from the Crocodile Rock! Hand on heart, the best full Scottish breakfast I've ever had.

Aday on Millport island is relaxing to say the least. From the moment we walked off the ferry and on to the coach,we were aware of the leisurely atmosphere. We left the bus in Millport outside the Pier Hotel and walked the two mile promenade eventually stopping at the above cafe for a drink. We sat outside and waited for our drinks.Out came the owner with not only the drinks, but a general description of the history and the attractions on the island. The drinks were well priced, and well presented.

I am not sure why this doesn’t have five stars. Went after a cycle around the island and was given a warm welcome and luckily able to get in before closing for the day. Would recommend for good service. I had the soup.

Lovely cafe, friendly staff, delicious food, so central within Millport, a very warm welcome. If you're vegan or gluten free you're very well served and if you're not, their extensive but not expensive menu will fill your belly very happily. Excellent value, clean tables, great service. Sadly I missed the gluten free lemon drizzle slice - everyone else only has flapjacks or chocolate brownies, but Dancing Midge makes its own. I'll have to come back soon for someVegetarian options: Vegan and gluten free spicy parsnip soup was generous, hot and deliciousDietary restrictions: Great gluten free options, delicious

We went to this lovely cafe for breakfast on our last day at Millport. We were met with friendly, welcoming staff. The kids had the pancake stacks, and my husband and I had the Scottish Breakfast. Most of items were locally sourced. The haggis was the best we’ve tasted (from Arran apparently). Would highly recommend visiting here for a lovely breakfast. Wish we’d had room for one of the enormous scones or empires!Kid-friendliness: Welcoming to our kids, and even reduced the portions of the pancakes so they would manage better.
