Hi my name is Robert i am writing a review about shafs here goes i am a massive takeaway person but i usually get indians but i sometimes fancy a chippy so here is my review of shafs i get the black pudding from here and fritters sometimes along with curry sauce the hamburger from here is also nice but the hamburger can sometimes be a bit too greasy but it is still very tasty i don't usually get chippys but this is quite a nice little chippy so try it i will give it 4 stars.Vegetarian options: You can always ask i am sure they will do some vegetarian optionsKid-friendliness: They do kids meals like mini fish suppers and that.

Normally a fan of this chippy but fish was dry and the mushy peas were out of a tin! Never had that from a chippy before it your not gonna make and use proper mushy peas give a heads up first!

Manager/Owner has no customer service skills at all. Didn’t order tonight but picking up from next door. Use chip shop all the time but the manager was like “you’re not a customer” just because I haven’t been in to collect over just eat. I only asked if he could have a word with his drivers about parking in disabled spaces when other spaces are available in car park as I had to walk from one side to the other, doesn’t sound a lot but I have a spinal injury and it take it out of you. His response was “everyone in the town does it” and “speak to the police it’s a police matter”. I just went in politely to have a word with them as didn’t want to take it to another level but after the attitude of the “Manager” I am totally disgusted that he wasn’t even willing initially to speak to the drivers. He’s like next door does it too. I said I have spoke to them but they are nothing to do with your drivers. Honestly a polite word and he wants to get the police involved. No people skills what so ever, if that’s what he wants, that’s what he will get, it was a courtesy to a local business and his drivers that I was speaking to him first but his superior “management skills” was to focused on the one fish and empty shop he had. Such a busy night. All to say, if you have a problem and this guy hasn’t seen you but your still a customer through the likes of online ordering as he said in his own words “I don’t care”. So much for local businesses being better, I’m totally shocked as he took me going in for a polite word and escalated it into a shouting match because he couldn’t do anything but talk down to me and shout “ do you have a blue badge” firstly yes I do but secondly what does it matter, disabled spaces for for people with blue badges not delivery drivers being lazy

A dry roll with 1 sausage in it is £3. I paid it anyway. Roll was hard. Then out of curiosity I checked there menu online and yes it is £3 but if u ask for them singly its only £1.95 for a sausage and 40p for a roll. Thats only £2.35 so they are charging the customer 65p for making it easier for them and less packaging
