The Food was ok ,but the Milk bar itself was freezing cold we ate our meals with our coats on & this was at 13.00 in the afternoon

Very disappointed. Lorne sausage was overcooked and tough, bacon cold and tough, potato scone needed a saw to cut it. Sent it back. Woman that came to speak to me explained that it was steak lorne and tgats what happened when it was kept warm- ( big sign says food is fresh- no fast food here!). I did get a sausage recorded and that was the standard I did expect- at least I could eat it. I said to til staff that the replacement roll on sausage was much better and was tge standard I expected and a surly female staff member was quite rude. I've been going there for years- maybe they're having an off day,but not good.

This was just a flying visit to pick up a goodie ie, a couple of cakes to take away. My husband loves the giant cream Meringues from here. And I do mean giant. I had a large plain scone with strawberry jam and cream. If you’ve never visited the Milk Bar you don’t know what you’re missing. It’s dog friendly, sells cakes and doggy ice cream. Fresh bowls of water at the door for them too. Child friendly, can provide a high hair and children’s menu. Ample parking. Spotlessly clean in cafe area and toilets. Go on, treat yourself.

Love Powmill. I've been visiting since I was a child - NOT yesterday. The food is freshly prepared, plentiful and delicious. The baking is clearly homemade and is fresh and yummy. A big plus is that we were told that they were calorie free... not sure that this is the case..??Their meringues are HUMONGOUS.

We only stopped for coffee while out for a run, but we I bought a scone with jam and cream, also a very large meringue and cream to take away. They were delicious would easily fed more than person. Well worth our wee drive.

I as a professional barista can say that the coffee was burnt and super bitter also very hot, can be improved massively with small changes, like cleaning the coffee pod before making the next coffee so it will stop the burnt taste and bitterness. The milk can be steamed less and it will taste much better (not boiled). I hope it will be an improvement not just a criticism.
Used to go as a child. Took a friend for lunch. The place was very busy and we sat outside. The food was lovely even through the odd spots of rain, but it was warm and pleasant. Lovely staff and we were served outside.Worth another trip.

The milk bar is a really busy place, because the food is good and the portions are large, it has a good variety of things to choose from for every type of dietary requirement. The sweets and cakes are all homemade and are really tasty. Would highly recommend.Kid-friendliness: Children are made welcome and there is plenty to choose from for the picky eaters.Wheelchair accessibility: The milk bar is on one level to wheelchair accessible and plenty room to move about inside.

Had a wonderful breakfast here! Don't see a lot of people mention the coffee but it was fantastic too!Even left with a few cakes and a biscuit for our dog, and all of us enjoyed them thoroughly!Parking: Right outside with a lot of space

We had been to the milk bar for two consecutive days. On the second day we decided to take cakes away. Unfortunately when we got home the chocolate cake was mouldy on the bottom. Very disappointing.

A great find. Service was brilliant from all members of staff. A welcoming atmosphere with a real cross section of customers that you would never feel out of place. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Thanks for a great lunch
